Love the rap music during breaks and before kickoffs. Keeps a buzz in the stadium during prolonged play stoppages. Yep, definitely like Archie Eversole and Silento being played instead of Lawrence Welk and the Pips. No Lawrence Welk but I would caution to keep the rap to short bursts. Don't want to alienate our donors, parents and sponsors . Positive vibe yes, all out rap concert, no.

I saw lots of kids (and their parents) doing the Whip and Nae-Nae. Just good, clean fun!

Here's an example of a statement you might hear at a Troy game from certain "fans:"
"I wished they would stop playing that blasted music, I didn't come to a Troy game to listen to that... when is the announcer gonna tell us the Alabama score?"

Their beloved Bammer and Barn blare the rap music LOUD. They come to Troy to drink their tea, eat crumpets and scorewatch on their phones.

I work in surgery... Clavicular surgery is fairly rare. But a fairly simple surgery. But ya he would likely be out for the year. Actually...he could easily be back in 3 to 4 weeks. A surgical repair has a significantly faster recovery time. Here is pics of my friends clavicle he broke. He has a plate and screws to hold it together insert code here Attachments:

The best music I've heard was the tune they play at South Carolina before kickoffs. It was fast, lively, and no words, but it sure did get the crowd worked up

Sandstorm has been played pregame at our place for a while. The problem is, since roughly half the crowd doesn't come into the stadium until 5 mins before kickoff, no one notices. If 10,000 of the fans attending would get off their duffs and come inside say, 1 hour, before game time, we too could have some buzz.

Sorry, I got distracted and hit enter too soon. If half of the fans attending had half the enthusiasm and energy as the posters on this board, there would be no need to call for things to generate "buzz". Though I don't think it's necessary to stand for the entire game and scream until unable to talk, I, like most of you, get annoyed when people at the game behave as if they are attending the opera...or a golf tournament...or a funeral...you get the idea.

I will take this time to point out that we were 3 point favorites going into this matchup. 44-9 with 2 minutes and some change left in the game was an incredible performance by our Trojans.

Not sure if Troy attendance is tickets sold vs butts in seats but I walked to the sature to check out the home side.If VMS is 30,000 then conservatively we had 22K butts in seats. The upper deck on home side was sparce but everything else was fairly filled. When I saw the attendance figure it really made me wonder if we don't count students or the high school band members or what.I posted Southern Miss pics and they reported 22K and we clearly had more people at our game....??Anyone know our formula for tabulation?

I hate to hear that, but unfortunately I called it when I saw the way he landed and how he was examined by the training staff. Sad to say that I have seen it too many times.

Most clavicles dont need surgery.....so here is wishing for a healthy recovery.....great young man. It may have healed without surgery (if it could be realigned using a brace that helps bring the two ends of the fracture together), but he has a better chance of playing sooner by having it plated.

A surgical repair has a significantly faster recovery time. Absolutely right. The ORIF (open reduction, internal fixation) procedure would actually allow him to play in 3-4 weeks if all goes well. We had a linebacker a few years ago (can't remember his name) that played a few weeks after the same injury/surgery.

Neal Brown said he's "doubtful" for the Wisconsin game, and wants to get him a lot more touches, which means it's likely not a season ending injury.

I agree the atmosphere and buzz was awesome. However I will disagree strongly and say that the new PA guy was terrible. I for one really liked that the previous guy got the crowd involved. That was missed by many in my section Saturday.

That was missed by many in my section Saturday. We thought the same thing about the PA guy. New guy was dry as dirt and sounded bored the whole time. (Insert "that makes him perfect for Troy games!" joke here)

At this point, we need every butt in the stadium we can get. Don't care if they are a certain "fan". I have given my tickets to alabama and auburn fans over the years, a few of them have asked me for them again. They fell in love with The intimacy of Troy. We converted them. Think positively and focus on building Troy up. Yeah I hate when people show up at Troy games with alabama hats on, but that's a problem when we start selling out the stadium every week.

That is cutting into some valuable whiskey and BBQ time at the tailgate.

I have given my tickets to alabama and auburn fans over the years, a few of them have asked me for them again. They wanted more free tickets? I do get what your saying and I wouldn't suggest turning away anyone who is willing to attend, especially if they actually buy tickets, but I reserve the right to call them out on a message board for Troy fans... Just like you reserve the same right. Here's to Trojans One and All!
