Sources have it: We have a new conference Mate in the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers......that is a rooster featured in some sly fox tales.....and not a hanging light fixture.....but makes about as much sense......will be full fledged member eligible for bowl in 2018 with transition in 2016-17.
However they are real close to Myrtle Beach so could be fun trip.....

What about their stadium? Currently seats 8,000. Great program and a great coach worth a ton of money From their site: Phase I of the stadium construction included 6,408 seats, while Phase II added almost 1,000 additional seats prior to the 2006 season. The third phase of Brooks Stadium was completed in 2010 when approximately 1,600 seats were added directly behind the north end zone. Affectionately referred to as the Chantourage section, the seating in directly in front of Adkins Field House was designated as the student section in 2011. Brooks Stadium accommodates approximately 9,400 fans and was designed to grow with the football program, with a future capacity for up to 20,000 fans.

I thought the NCAA had a requirement for stadiums to be at least 17,500 (I think but could be 20K)? They better get busy building some seats, they have to double their size.

They presented a facilities plan to the group that visited...they'll be ready when they finish their transition.

Pretty exciting news. I feel like the SBC will be the NWO before long.

Wow, from Carolina to New Mexico up to Idaho we are spanning the US. Not exactly a travel friendly conference.
