Game times have been set for all five of Troy's home football games for the 2015 season, the Athletics Department announced Friday.
Troy's games against Charleston Southern (Sept. 12) and South Alabama (Oct. 3) will kickoff at 6 p.m., while the remaining games against Idaho (Oct. 17), ULM (Nov. 7) and Georgia Southern (Nov. 14) will kickoff at 2:30 p.m. All game times are subject to change.

2:30 kickoffs suck. Not to mention no one wants to show up for those.

I disagree, I think 2:30 games are PERFECT in October and November. While some say "no one wants to go" isn't true, some of us really like that start time. Me, for one.

While I like a 6:00 kick for a great afternoon of tailgating, a 2:30 kick gets me home by 9:00 which is a lot better than 1:00am.

It isn't that "no one wants to go" to a 2:30 Saturday game, so many work on Saturdsys whether in businesses or on farms and CAN'T go to a 2:30 game. For them it's not about wanting to go or not, they can't!

Let's just all be thankful the 2:30 games are the second half of our home schedule. Even though it's nice out right now, I bet September 12th would be hot at 2:30.

I don't have to leave P'cola at 6:00am to ensure quality tailgate time before a noon kick and don't have to spend the funds on a hotel after the game. Surf Report: The surf is flat. It is the lake of Mexico again. The winds are coming out of the NNE at 7-9 mph causing for offshore flatness. High tide will be at 8:43 am and low tide will be at 7:26 pm. Surf forecasts for this area are dismal. Pray for surf. This flatness sucks.

Oh, I'm good with them as well but I'm retired. Many work on Saturdays and I know the comments that will appear right here when a lot of alumimum seats shines in the noonday sun.

Oh, I'm good with them as well but I'm retired. Many work on Saturdays and I know the comments that will appear right here when a lot of alumimum seats shines in the noonday sun. Weekday games= no good because fans have to work. Saturday games= no good if not scheduled at just the right time because fans have to work. I can easily see why Troy has its scheduling issues. On the plus side, this means that Troy fans are employed! What about Sunday games? No... wait... that won't work either. Hmmm

How bout transportation and housing and tickets to football games as a right!!! YES we must work fast because OBAMA only has a few months left.....Please lets start a needy Troy football fans fund that we can apply to and all of us get unemployed fast so we tooooo can live the AMERICAN dream and go to our Troy football games as WE should be ENTITLED to do so...BUT SADLY until then I guess we will continue to have that pesky work get in the way at times.
Dang Doug I knew there was a flaw with where you were going.....

Just stating what is fact, not raising an issue. Night games simply give more people an opportunity to attend and TO ME that's a good thing. Dang, afternoon games save me hotel money. I just remember all the hell raised here at the lack of attendance in the past few years. Ok, maybe we will win um all and the Bama/Burn Troy grads will show back up. I'm there no matter!!!

Just saying, the two worst home showings I remember going to were day games. One of them last year against App State.

If I were King I'd start at 4 or 4:30 PM. Late enough for good tailgating and early enough to not be driving too late at night at least for the first 4 hours and that is most of Troy's fan base. I don't know how game times are decided other than TV coverage but we aren't on TV much if any this year.
