www.troytrojans.com/roster.aspx?path=mbballAs of now, 13-man roster. Or those 13, 7 are upperclassmen. Only one is a "big." So, 5 guards are JRs. The front court should be much improved. I like Ariri as a center because he plays better closer to the basket. Small forward is the position of interest because Harrison should see more playing time and Jordon Varnado had good numbers coming out of HS. I believe PC will absolve himself of the previous season with the roster he has going into the fall.

What happens if he is hurt? Do we run a three guard and two forward set?

Moravek more like a stretch 4...he has some range. With the style of offense we have, I say 3 guards, looking forward to Reinfelds getting back on the court. I can just imagine TROY being the "Golden State" of the SBC...with Person and Reinfelds being the Splash Brothers mini-me

We had a 6"11 center in the late 80's that was a pretty good player so it is possible. That could make a big difference I think, but I will admit I don't know a whole lot about round ball

He was on the team that went to the CBI and we hosted the College of Charleston...

I know we had coach O'Mara in softball that was Aussie. I wonder why it stopped?

Jervis was soft and that is not debatable.

Jervis was soft and that is not debatable. I never saw him play but very few 7 footers are very physical. If they are they are they will be playing in the NBA like Shaq, Ewing, Robinson, Walton etc. They sometimes can be cumbersome to but it's still nice to be able to feed the ball inside to a big man

Jervis was soft and that is not debatable. He definitely wasn't a banger, but he could ball...that's not debatable either...

I like tom and all but he wasn't a stretch 5 because he couldn't shoot a jumper and as already mentioned wasn't tough on the inside. He could block some shots though

Why is Cunningham recruiting small players? Can someone enlighten me? But i truly don't understand it. I know they may have talent, but a 6'0" or 6'1" guard is always going to have trouble shooting over a 6'6" or taller defender. Size is one of of Troy's problems. We don't have big enough, physical guys that can play against teams like Arkansas State, Georgia State, Little Rock, UTA, etc.
He has got to recruit better size. Not just height, but also strength. If anyone has watched UALR in the NCAA Tournament, most of Little Rock's players were well built guys that could muscle their way to the basket. That's one reason they won the SBC so easily... and also a reason they upset Purdue in the first round.
And now we don't have a proven "big" anymore since JW3 graduated. Ariri has a ton of potential, but man... he's got work to do.

It will not assist if we are out game planned beforehand or outschemed during the game. The staff has some work to do on this.
