Sitting around 24.6million which is 3rd in the SBC. I remember this being below 20million just a couple years ago! Credit to Hartwell and staff for this job well done! sports.usatoday.com/ncaa/finances/

Credit to Hartwell and staff for this job well done! sports.usatoday.com/ncaa/finances/We sold 1/2 the season tickets last year than 3 years prior. That, to me, is indicative of our decline, we were down $200K from the previous year. WE HAVE TO STEP UP, if we are EVER going to rebuild the wall!!! While expectations on the field remain high (and I caution all to be realistic and patient) our "in the stands" commitment MUST come through. We have to get our ticket sales up. How do we build "Heart felt" commitments knowing we may have to be prepared for the rebuilding process to take longer than we want? The excitement and expectations may dwindle some before we get a lot better, record wise, than we might like.

I completely understand and agree with your assessment but that very assessment might be a HUGE motivator to speed up the success rate. It's difficult to get many Troy fans to support Troy anyway and particularly difficult if you are losing. We don't have a lot of WalMart type fans. Success breeds support but at a school like Troy, it's even more important. We have a lot of fickle fans! We also seem to have a lot of fans who know little or nothing about the game, many never played a second but expect perfection from the players and miracles from the staff so they are here in support ONLY if you win, then they proudly wear Troy gear but lose and out comes those other guys shirts.
