Have seen Tia play many times. She is the real deal.
She spends most afternoons playing pickup ball at the community center in Daleville. She routinely outplays the fellas in those games.

If only she was playing against guys from the greater Orlando area, then she would be a shoe-in for the College Basketball Hall of Fame.

Well, it is safe to say that the talent level in Orlando is far greater then at the community center in Daleville. So you are right, greater chance she would be more talented.
But after attending Troy many moons ago, I realize the hicks from the surrounding communities believe that life does not exist outside their small word. The believe the dream.

Are you saying there are not hicks in the surrounding communities of Troy ? And the sad thing is the majority (or half) of the locals could not give two craps about the place I love, the University.

Hmmmm... Wonder if I fit into that category? Yes. I just wish your posts didn't try to hurt people. When you come after me, I think it is funny. It's pure entertainment for me. For others, they take it seriously (right or wrong) and we need all the Trojan support we can get. Driving people away from this site and Troy is not good.

Hmmmm... Wonder if I fit into that category? No, Sorry, i don't think you live on University Drive in Troy, although you DO camp out there a lot. That would categorize you as a transient good people who camps out on University Drive and hurts people.. ?? BTW, who have you hurt recently?? stirthepot

The list is long. Good people. No need to push people away from Troy. Listen. Respect. Live. Love. Peace. The list is long of people whose feelings I've hurt? Interesting to say the least. Hey, if they come back I will publicly apologize. I will say this, there are people on this board that, I think had a pretty strong dislike for me until they met me in person. I will speak my mind and if that offends anyone it's purely unintentional. Anyone that I've offended tell them to stop by the tailgates and will we get it hashed out over a beer or six. Or water if if they prefer.

Country strong ? Hicks are work horses usually. My two cents worth is this, I have utmost respect for anyone who is pasionate about an issue and makes it known. It's the how thats important! You can be consistent in your feelings and presentation and do it with class. I'll give two examples where I've seen exactly that. 1. Hemi's support of Jeremy Rowell. He never wavered, he made his position clear and he did so without being disrespectful nor did he belittle others, like me, who often disagreed with him. We had some strong but civil debates over that and a few other issues but I've NEVER felt disrespected by him in our debates. He's pasionate and I for one love that. 2. Troystet and his desire to see Troy gain some talent from a talent saturated area of his/our state. Damn, is that not what we all want? The best players we can get. I could care less, when we score, where on this earth the kid came from just like I cared less where the coach came from. He sees those kids and knows what they can bring to Troy. To want a kid from Florida to play for Troy in no way disrespect the state of Alabama or its athletes or citizens. I have a former teammate who says the same about his area in Georgia. I often see and feel the same way about the Penscola area. Everyone has their area. Everyone else is scouting there, why not us more often. We had a kid that just retired from pro football as a defensive back after 10 years and several pro bowls that was from this area and there for the taking by Troy. He went to Cumberland for heavens sake because Troy never knocked so it's good to have fans that care. What gripes me is trying to get more Troy grads to give a darn. I tried to explain to David (troystet) that others were ignoring his push because it was so constant but to his credit he felt strongly about it and that's s good thing. We need a lot more pasionate fans.....don't we? We constantlly talk here about needing dedicated fans that will show for games, pony up money for whatever, stand and yell for 4 quarters, wear the colors and not just on game day, buy Troy merchandise yet a few take opportunities to belittle, be sarcastic or whatever to make a fan feel less than a part of our "family"! He did that, and had to drive 5 hours each way to do it. There's no place on a site like this for that type behavior, name calling or any behaviors that makes any fan feel unwanted unless that fan had themselves gone over the civility line! I've tried to understand what manliness anyone gets from that type behaviors via a keyboard and it escapes me. Treat fans here like you would like to be treated, respectfully. Simple as that! Leave the sarcasm and name calling to face to face encounters, if you dare, so your advasary can see if you are smiling or not. Go Trojans!!!

Agree. But, Hemi was dead wrong about Rowell and yes they picked on Troystet too much, they need to give it a rest.

I tend to not get my feelings hurt about what someone or a some group of individuals says on a message board. That's just my two cents.

That's just my two cents. ......and if you don't then that's great but some do, ESPECIALLY after the 87th time they are ridiculed whether in jest or sincerity and BOTH personaities deserve consideration. JMHO!

People who get all riled up about what someone says on a message board probably shouldn't post on them. I guess some folks can't handle sarcasm and cynical comments as well as they dish it out. And as always, this is just my honest opinion.

Sure sounds like you are trying to run off some posters, and that was the very thing you were berating others about. Do you want to keep your cake or eat it?
