Winning and relationship mending...2 things that most likely wouldn't happen without change. Not a easy job asking donors to up their giving when we had a 17-31 record the last 4 years. I don't envy the job John has had to do in fund raising.

Look at all the excitement now. We have a staff built to win. Don't remember reading on here anybody who wanted to "keep the status quo" but I might be wrong, I was once before back in '75! There were a lot of people, I'm one, who wondered about the resources suddenly available to Coach Brown that wasn't avaliable to Larry and what it might have meant had he had them. Also there were a lot of us who respect LB and all he has done for Troy University even though his results the last 4 years has left a lot to be desired. Some of us believe that you can disagree with class and you can see a need for change yet still respect the individual being released. In some quarters those two characteristics are pitifully lacking!

I felt we were certainly due a change in coaching staff: However, I was a CLB fan until the end and will continue to be. I do feel that had CLB been given the appropriate resources we would have seen much different results over the past four years. At the end of the day, I do believe change was required.

I think the writing was on the wall for Coach Blakeney when he became successful winning all of the Sun Belt titles in a row. Jealousy from the Pike Road administration just became too much and they essentially made major facility improvements for all of the other sports except for football. That investment will now be made since Coach Blakeney is gone.

Don't know how Coach Brown compares to Coach Harbaugh as a coach, but when it comes to public speaking to a group of fans, Troy 1 Michigan 0. :-)

I really hope the speed we see Oregon operating with tonight is a preview of how coach Brown sees us going on offense next year.

Does anyone remember NASCAR??? I believe Neal will bring that fast paced tempo back to our offense. Could be very interesting to watch once everything begins to click. I can't wait to see how Spring ball looks for our Trojans!
Go TROY!

This crap about you cant run that pace for a game is nonsense. You don't see big bellies hanging over the belts of the OL at Oregon because they are in shape. Your in shape or you don't play in that offense. Hopefully this changes next year. Dye was subbing our OL every series which was ridiculous. I love the fast pace.

Oregon can run fast all day because they are three deep on defense. If you don't have quality depth on defense and you go 3 and out in 45 seconds and then score in 55 seconds on your next possesion, you're not giving your defense any time to rest. That's why Auburn was not running the same tempo they ran last season.

Any team that runs a version of the hunh is susceptible to lapses on the defensive side of the ball. That's why the emphasis for the offense is score in bunches. Nowadays, D coordinators are there to cause turnovers and minimize big plays. I will say that I was very impressed with the ducks redzone defense...
