They're at 12. Why would they add anyone right now? When UNCC football joins ranks next year ?, they will be at 13 teams again.

If a conference championship game continues to be a sticking point in getting to the playoffs, we're going to see more conference shuffling sooner rather than later. Granted this was the first year of the playoff system and changes will inevitably come, but there will be a trickle down effect on us. CUSA will take from the SBC (Ark State and GA State?) to replace who they lose.

More teams, more slices. 12 is the magic number and when you go past that, you profit share decreases...based on the distribution formula. At this point, I'd like to see Troy competing for championships, but changing conference affiliations isn't high on my list of priorities...

Troy couldn't bribe its way into any other conference anyway. Troy needs to concentrate on the Sunbelt.

Not looking to see us go anywhere either, and so far CUSA hasn't really hurt us from a quality perspective. Though FAU may be slightly better than NMSU and Idaho and I think losing MTSU is an actual loss. My thought is that raids on the upper level conferences will trickle down and start to hurt the conference as a whole. As you said, Troy isn't going anywhere. We don't have the market share. So we need a competative conference that's fun to play in. For me part of that is games with stAte, LaLa, USA, GA Southern, and so on. Don't want to lose our best and would like to get to that magic number without scrambling to maintain.

Personally, I don't want to be in CUSA...
I just wish the sun belt would invest in better referees/umpires etc.
