Not saying we hire him, but he could probably do the job. Two national championships and this playing in a hs stadium. I would take my chances with a coach like this than the RB coach at LSU

Yeah, it would be better to have him than a former RB coach with no HC experience. But I think this is all hypothetical anyway.

Hell, hire James Dean. He was awesome in Giant and East of Eden! If we are going to bring back people from the dead to coach, I would suggest the chief cat skinner from Mr. Ho's restaurant in the early 90's, Kun Fuk Dong. He was surprisingly knowledgeable of technique and loved an attacking 46 defense. He said it was unstoppable if we would ever hire him to run it. For Offense, he developed a quick version of the Pistol that utilized tight ends. Tragically, he died during an explosion while making repairs to the nuclear reactor at Farley Nuclear. (He was an expert in uranium and all fissionable elements)

Yeah the guy is a winner and has two national championship (our current HC has none). He is clearly not qualified.

Yeah the guy is a winner and has two national championship (our current HC has none). He is clearly not qualified. And he's not a fired SEC coach, a unemployed coach or SEC RB coach. Yes not qualified. Good thing Georgia Southern didn't think Willie Fritz was not qualified. He was just a winning FCS coach and wasn't a SEC assistant. I'm starting to think we will screw this up beyond recognition, especially if Hawkins gives input.

Same here but I have a really bad feeling. The way things have gone recently with the program, I can understand your feeling. I really feel that is Hartwell is left to do his job, he will make a good hire.

In all seriousness. I think mike Dean would be an excellent defensive position coach. I wish he had come to Troy after leaving CHHS. Obviosuly based on his quotes in the paper. That was not gonna happen

That was not gonna happen Let the man live in Montgomery and let him drive in every day, coach football and go home. If he doesn't have to interact with the "cliq-ish" townsfolk, then he should do just fine. Mike would be a fine DC in The Dream's humble, yet correct, opinion.

Well, I'll bet $ that the man renting the house across the street from me will likely be vacating soon since his coaching gig will likely be gone. Dean could move there and I'd talk to him.
