There is zero doubt that the Team does not care any longer, the coaching staff literally has quit.
Why should the fans care enough to show up ?
We have been planning on going to LALA game with a big group we put together. I a lot of older alumni that we are trying to get to reconnect. Several texted me last night "they really don't care, should we go?, no sense in watching a blow out"
Shame on this staff (including CLB) for running this program straight underneath the dumpster.

That's a decision you have to make for yourself. I will be there.

I'll be there, but I honestly can't blame the folks who decide not to come.

I'll be there. I'm taking 5 extras to the Georgia State game including 3 kids. The kids don't care about the W/L record, but they will be there at the Trojan March and in the stands yelling for Troy until the end of the game.
Attendance almost always falls off for conference games near the end of every season regardless of the Troy record or conference standing. Just over 16,000 came out on 11/27/10 vs. WKU in our last SBC title run. 16,638 on 11/21/09 vs. FAU. 16,227 vs. Ark State on 12/6/08.
The exception was in 2012 with an attendance of 20,614 vs. Arkansas State

It's not that I don't care but I'm not a regular season game traveler. I'm just not. Never have been. Does that make those who do better fans? Dunno. I suppose that's subjective but I won't be there and I won't argue either side of the topic. Look for me at the Home games. I'll be there.

You know what, that's absolutely correct. Total brain fart from me. I didn't really pay attention to the opponents mentioned and totally disregarded that not everyone here lives a mile away from Blakeney Field like I do. My apologies.
But my earlier statement is true. I don't travel to Away games. Good for those of you who do, I just won't be among the crowd.
Now since it's a day off for me, I'm going for a run then work in the yard. Should y'all care about that? Probably not and I wouldn't blame you a bit.

Rarely do SBC road games unless it's very convenient (SoAL, Georgia Dome State, etc) or destination games like Duke.

I went to the Gator game in. 2009 but I can't make road game because of the distance. It is a struggle making all the home games running my own business and 12 hours round trip but I have done it the last 3 years and at least two more till my daughter is out of school at Troy. Not sure I can do it after that

A thought I had last night ... I really feel for the players/coaches. I don't know the players ... but do know some of the coaches. I know those guys have done the best they could. They haven't succeeded, but that happens sometimes. I know some have said the players/coaches have "quit" ... I don't know, maybe some have. But I think they are demoralized! I can't imagine what those guys are going through. I never experience a losing season as a player (went 6-4 soph yr at troy ... that was awful!). As a HS coach, we suffered a couple 3-7 type seasons over the years. But I can't imagine how tough it is on these kids and coaches. I know the coaches are grown ups and this is their chosen profession. For the players, you know they all wanted/hoped to win! So, as demoralizized/sad/mad as it makes us fans/alums, etc. ... you have to know these guys are suffering. I hope they can all learn some life lessons and move on! Anyway ... just a thought!

I agree with all you said except that "those guys have done the best they could". We know our coaches can do better because they have before. I am not convinced that our players lack the talent to succeed. I believe they lack the drive and disciplne to maximize the use of their talent. That is what makes me the saddest. We all probably played or went to school with an athlete or two who squandered their talent. Right now we have nearly an entire team that is doing it! In answer to the original question, we all should still care. I will still attend the remaining home games and enjoy all the parts of gameday except the game, that I will just tolerate.

I care. I'm not happy about this season, or the previous 3 for that matter, but I care. Guess what? I have a 7 year old grand daughter who will be going to the game with me next weekend. She neither knows or cares that we are awful, that the coaches gave given up or that the players are undisciplined. All she knows is she is going to her second TROY game AND SHE CANT WAIT! The situation is more complex than our won-loss record and for this I'm grateful.

I care enough to post here occasionally - get worked up over games or expect wins this season? Nah.
Will probably not go to any more games this year. I've never made any secret that it's been a couple of years since I let my season tickets go and started being more selective with the games I travel to.
Was hoping/thought the Lafayette game was at noon and was considering being just crazy enough to go to both FSU-UF and CLB's last game in the same day, but it doesn't look possible now and I've already got FSU tickets for that game.
Kinda sad seeing CLB getting sent off with a wreck of a season and a likely last-game loss against a competitive ULL team/

What I don't understand the rationalization you use when validating NOT BUYING/GOING to Troy events. Your "occassional postings" seem to announce your support of FSU vs Troy, again fine. Please don't patronize the rest of us that support Troy, win or lose!! As Hemi states, "it's NOT THE WINS AND LOSSES that determine some of our level of support. It is much more about the " whole" of Troy Athletics, not cherry picking of when to or not to support Troy.
