Was told by the guy over Trojan Warriors that there's a high change the end zone facility will break ground this spring. But it rests in the hands of Hawkins and the board

Was told by the guy over Trojan Warriors that there's a high change the end zone facility will break ground this spring. But it rests in the hands of Hawkins and the board JH said that when he got here that the latest would be 2015 on the ground-breaking. Also listed in the strategic plan as such. With donations being as pedestrian as they are, Our Dear Leader was always going to be Plan B.

What do you think?

So it's a fair weather fan situation? How do you change that (getting fans to buy in financially when things aren't going well)?

How many times does it need to be restated? Dude I'm just asking a question. So it's a fair weather fan situation? I apologize...I forgot you're just coming over here...There are some carry-over from the Steve Dennis admin, but during the years of the championship run, LB stated that we could go as far as TROY people wanted to go. He also stated, on many occasions that we needed to stay on par with the rest of the league, so far as facilities. It was a great idea to re-do the Trojan Warrior program to facilitate fan support, outside of buying season tickets. With that said, we, as fans, have not done the best job with giving our program what it needs to compete at this level. We sat back and spectated instead of seeing the big picture. Some gave, but a lot of us reaped the benefits of a winning program without the investment. Once AState and the Cajuns, and to a lesser degree, ULM and their fanbases threw money at their problems, they lessened. We have yet to, as a fanbase, to throw the kind of money at our problems as the top of the league has, to date. My comment a while back was to look at this thing as an "employee-owned" business and all of us need to put some beer money in...Like Hemi says, start giving what you can, when you can, however much you can...it'll help. It will also help with a sense of owning our collective responsibility to elevate our program to the heights we want it to be...but, we're only going to go as far as TROY people want to go.

No apology necessary but it's appreciated. I hadn't given much thought to the enjoying success without the investment angle. That's a good point

I guess when they finally build this thing they will have to move the "Trojan Arena" marquee that is strategically placed to be seen from the stadium. It looks good. Hopefully this thing will look better.
What are the latest plans? Just box suites?

It won't happen anytime soon. The budget is way off. By way off I mean 30 Million. Ticket sales are down, people have dropped their season ticket packages and it is getting worse.
