Dan Parker transferred when he saw he wouldn't win the strarting position. As soon as Jenkins found out he wouldn't dislodge CR, he went to State...DA stayed and saw reduced snaps as CR cut down on his INTs. Will DP wait to see who the new coaches will be or go down a level for his SR campaign...? What about Dallas? Graduating soon...will he be around for another year?

We could have a big problem next year if Tidwell , Pruitt and Brevard leave and that is a big possibility I think it depends on why they're at Troy and what their plans are for after college. I know all young men at some point in their playing lives want to go pro. But at some point they have to let that go and realize that college is it and that scholarship is paying the bill for their real career. Are they happy just hanging out with their friends on the team or on campus? Do they like the school and are they happy with their education up to this point? Is football so singularly important to them that they would transfer out? Is it worth uprooting yourself just to play a game when there is nothing of significance behind the game but having fun? For some it will be. Others, not so much. Pruitt may if he's seriously thinking of a pro career, and he doesn't have the time put in that the others do.

DP going pro? If so he better switch to receiver now , their aren't 5"9 NFL qbs and he is not Doug Flutie either . He has the speed and moves to be a great receiver

The future could be cloudy for many next year, new coach and staff. If you remember Tony Franklin came in and purged a few or at least gave them the option to seek other opportunities at different institutions.

I don't disagree with how Charlie Strong has approached is duties, but I can't imagine how a new coaching staff is going to come in and "clean house" and be successful out of the gates...

And if they change Offenses it will be a disaster Thats why people left when Franklin came in and brought the spread with him. We went from Julian Foster a drop back passer to Franklin going out and bringing in Omar to run the spread.

Taking a spread team and changing it to something else doesn't generally work though. I hope we leave the offense alone, make whatever changes to the defense they want

I think we just had a patchwork offense in 2005, hence the change.

With a new coaching staff coming in, I would not be surprised to see Dallas starting next season.

I base it on there being an open QB battle with a new staff coming in. I thought Dallas looked really good when he went in last year. He has great size and a great arm. Not saying he will be the starting QB, just saying I would not be surprised if he was.

Tall, yes but he throws 3/4 so he might as well be 6'4". He doesn't have speed or quickness above normal levels for his size and his throws are average. I would have liked seeing him moved to tight end if he can take hits and block.

Time after time either over-thrown or thrown short. espn.go.com/video/clip?id=espn:9986396

There are probably 20 kids on the football team who can throw one high and far and let speed catch it. Can they make the reads and throw the touch passes between defenders.

Maybe I should have said his passing is about average EXCEPT for one pass at Ole Miss! My observation is based on ALL his playing time that I have seen, not one pass. But he hasn't played much and I wonder why if your observations are correct. I will give you the fact that Silvers has not shown much accuracy down field deep and that bothers me. Frankly I am concerned at our entire QB group when it comes to the passing game but their running is much improved over last year with Cory. If we are going to stay with the spread then someone needs to step up. I believe the spread requires a mobile QB and I just don't see #11 bringing that to the table right now. For some reason, we seem to have decided that our passing game will be swing passes and bubble screens. Who knows, the new coach may look for his QB.

"You got that right" on the bubble screens and swing passes ! It seems our offensive playcalling has been three plays over and over for along while now. Maybe the philosophy is to lull the opponent to sleep with repeating the same stuff.
