Whats your top 3 wish list for New HC of Troy football
1. Ed Orgeron....Great recruiter. Big defensive mind...Troy would get a lot of national attention and recruits that might normally go to stAte or ULL might think differently. If he can get some great assistants to Troy we would be back on top in no time.
2. Jeremy Pruitt....Defensive minded, Again will bring national attention to Troy. Might not be as much as my #1 but would still bring positive attention. Has Alabama roots and knows how to recruit this area well.
3. Frank Wilson....Recruiting coordinator and running backs coach for LSU since 2010...Was named top recruiter in the country in 2011 and 2014 by rivals and NFL.com

1. Coach O - first Troy Head Coach to make it on the Dan Patrick Show 2. Brick Haley - I love this guy more than Turk or Campbell 3. Tommie Robinson
Again, assuming Turk and Campbell are not available. Jury is still out on Turk, although the dude is a winner. As is Campbell, but might be too expensive to hire (buyout).

Correct me if I am wrong but didn't everyone say NB was a horses rear and wasn't liked when he was here?

I got to personally know Neal and he was very straight forward, no nonsense so I could see how he could run people the wrong way. I prefer that kind of person and I know on the recruiting trail he cna get it done

1. Bud Kilmer - A legend in the Texas high school ranks that has won over 15 district titles and two state championships. Is a no-nonsence guy and hates to lose. 2. Tony D'Amato - One of the greatest to ever walk a sideline, and still has some ball left in him. He also is capable of delivering one of the best halftime speeches in the history of the spoken word. 3. Eric Taylor - A young, energetic high school coach from the Lone Star state. He has won multiple state titles, and rebuilt East Dillon high school from nothing to state champs in less than three years.

When I hear about Texas HS coaching legends, the name that pops into my head is Todd Dodge...not to disparage any other coaches from that vast state, but I'm leery of the the HS ranks for a HC...maybe a coordinator, not the head man.

I think The Dream was having a little fun with some movie/TV coaching legends.

Is that former AU bench warmer Jim Bob Striplin? The guy that led New Brockton to a boisterous 31-33 record in six years at the helm.
He had HC experience and he went to Auburn (where they invented football). He is an assistant at Geneva right now, I bet he would jump at 505K a year.
HIRE HIM NOW!!!

Plus he couldnt put a play together under center in the Red Zone......start fresh, NB does nothing for a lot of people and wouldnt generate excitement. I like Orgeron.
