Yeah but they have Jimbo Fisher and Nic Saban ahead of him. Coach may be on the hot seat, but that may not mean anything.

LB isn't in danger. Until I hear him saying he's stepping down he will be back next year.

He's a great coach and a true gentleman, but coaches must be held accountable for results. I trust our AD. Surf Report: Small scale (ankle to knee high) surf. Fairly clean in the morning with NE winds 5-10mph. Semi glassy/semi bumpy conditions for the afternoon with the winds shifting SE less than 5mph.

There's only two things I hate in this world. People who are intolerant of other people's cultures and the Dutch.

Say what? Isn't in danger of losing his job? On the basis of what criteria? Is this just your opinion or do you have some kind of inside information?
If that's truly the case, then I will totally lose faith in the ability of Troy's leadership to guide this program. Troy football will fall even further into the abyss and Hartwelll will owe an apology to the former basketball coach.

Not saying I agree he should keep his job, I just feel like the school won't buy out his contract and pay another coach. Like I stated, until I hear otherwise that is what I believe happens.

There's also the matter of the rest of the coaching staff. When CLB goes, so goes most (if not all) of the rest of them. Deserved or not, if he thinks he can keep them employed for another year by staying around, he may try to do that (re - he won't retire on his own and he knows they won't fire him because of the buyouts). Also not sure the school will pony up the money for 1) better staff all around or 2) enough of them. We don't just need better coaches, we need more of them. Also need a recruiting coordinator.

Also need a recruiting coordinator. i Last home game I counted 15 men dressed in coaches attire. Now I realize some might be student assistants but even with that, darn it seems like we have enough bodies. You only have 22 positions on offense and defense. That's almost a coach per player. What we need is results from what/who we have. HOWSOMEEVER, we do need recruiters......good recruiters. Maybe even a coordinator.

Butler is the current Recruiting Coordinator... I wondered what was going on with that spot. Hadn't heard anything after it was vacated. The staff seemed smaller than that to me. Like we were missing assistants. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong places. I'll have to see what I can spot next week. =)

It's very frustrating to read that LB may be given another year after four consecutive bad years. It shouldn't be about LB or what he wants, or his assistant coaches. It should be about what's best for Troy University and its football program.
