Would really love to see Chunn have a break out game tomorrow. I know we have used him a lot on short yardage plays but would love to see some holes open on second downs for some big yardage. I feel ULM will be looking for us to rely on our passing so let's shake things up

Watching them in spring and fall camp I thought we would just dominate in the ground game. Burks is due a break out game as well. He was so much fun to watch in high school.

Give him the ball until this man shows up. AND drop the huddle and stopping and looking and stopping and looking and stopping and looking over to the sideline.

That is one definite area that I think we lost ground in after Schlarman left.

Chunn is the man. I always like the big running backs. Watch the O line blocking in the first quarter if you wonder why our offense is nonexistent. It's sad to watch the efforts of some players.

Dye was a lousy choice for the job. He was coaching HS when they hired him. He is not liked by his players and we have great kids who will give the effort sitting on the sidelines. I have a feeling we might lose some really good young OL to transfer out to play. One parent of a player asked me " how worse could they do? How's the bunch that is playing doing? " some of these kids need a shot or we might lose them.

As for kids wanting their shot to play, did they not want it during spring and fall camps?

I guess things are different now because it used to be if you didn't get the job done you find someone who will. If there is no OL problem then people need to quit saying they don't block, give our qb time to throw etc. IMO this is a coaching issue. Schlarman would have this group performing. I'm not sure Dye knows how to get the most out of this group.

Not impressed with the O line, especially the interior...seems to be caving in a lot, but there should be more rolling out of the pocket so the ball can be thrown away or run...I hate seeing all these sacks.

Coaching. I am not impressed with Dye. His background is option ground football. Not sure he knows how to coach this style of football. Schlarman had a great knack of teaching, great OL coaches do. OL technique is everything and I just don't see the coaching. I think we survived last year on guys remembering some Schlarman stuff. We lose three seniors this year. My worry is we lose some good young OL who transfer. If that happens we have a huge problem. I know it's just my opinion but I know of three that should be playing, they can't do any worse than what we have.
