Southern looks tough man. Their stadium looks like a harsh environment. I think they might be the best in the conference. App State on the other hand.... They are looking like we could get a win against them.

I said weeks ago Ga. Southern would win the Belt. They are good and Paulson was rocking last night.

Watched some of this game. Based on our first 4 performance, I think both teams will beat us. I too believe GA Southern could win the Sunbelt. However I have not seen many of the other teams, and hoping we look different this week. Counting on those going to have eyes for us that cannot go and not sugar coated , reality.

Am I right in thinking that Georgia Southern is ineligible to go to a bowl this year because they are in their transition year?

I toured Ga. Southern when trying to decide on a college to attend. At the time i was there, Statesboro was about like Brundidge. I have heard things have gotten better, but it is still in the middle of nowhere in southern Georgia. Paulson Stadium is a diamond in the rough in the Sun Belt. They moved dirt and expanded their stadium and built new facilities, and the fan base is excited.
For those of you that feel facilities have little or nothing to do with success, please do us all a favor and go play two-hand touch with Sherrill Busby. This ain't 1967 anymore.

So as a true Trojan supporter you now feel ok with using sarcasm in allinating everyone who respected Busbys accomplishments for our university or anyone not as young as you. Well, I suspect that might just be an era where some of your more successful and donation prone alumni reside. Go get 'um young man. That's what we need more of at Troy disrespecting our own, heavens knows we don't have enough opponents to antagonize us. I pray we get the facilities we need for two reasons. 1. It might improve recruiting and 2. It will end that as an excuse and make folks find another one. Frankly, I don't know if I have read anyone who said they didn't want that facility. What I read was it just might not solve all the problems.....but we shall wait to see. May be that it's just ONE of our problems. You could have made your point without the Busby and 1967 era reference. Just sayin'!

Busby was long before 1967. Too many leg drops on the head for the Dream.
Maybe meant we have 1967 facilities?
Those that mock the need for facilities on here, and social media, show just how uninformed they really are. I've never seen anyone say facilities were a cure all, but it's a great place to start.

We always need to looking to better ourselves whether it be facilities, scheduling, recruiting. The Trojans on the football field playing should not be the only TEAM. Everybody MUST get involved whether that means $10 or $100,000 donations it all adds to success

. Redwaver might not but I will. Based on your statement Mr Dream you are the one pissing in the cornflakes. So you answer my question with your own admission that you are just full of "P & V". That's piss and vinegar since you might not know what that old saying means. Go Trojans

I just like looking forward and being progressive. I grow tired of folks that think "Well, we won some games back in the day doing it X way, so lets do that again."
Football and college is different than it was when you fellas were enrolled. The athlete is different. The times are different. The tactics that yall saw as effective may or may not click with this generation of ball players. While some players react well to yelling, screaming, cussing, stricter rules and other "older" ways of doing things, others will tune the coach our entirely. Some players have to be taken to the side and talked to in a calm manner.
I trust the coaches know which guys respond to which style.
I may be younger than you fellas, but please realize that I am not an idiot when it comes to football.
Thanks, and good day.

Point taken Dream, and to your point maybe our older generation coach doesn't know the newer times ? "Questions. I ain't got many answers" "Maybe those guys over there need to coach these old boys we've got . . . ." "I don't know if we're gonna be good enough to beat 'em or not" - Coach Larry Blakeney

If you would be open minded and understanding you would be surprised at how much they are willing to help things progress. You probably aren't an idiot but your remarks sure made you sound like one and that is all we have to go by. And yes I am in my thirties but understand although I don't see things the same way I can learn value experience.

There sure is quite a bit the "older generation" isn't very open minded about concerning this football team. But if if it won an NAIA national title in 1967 then it is gurantee to work nowadays right?
