Ten year ago, TMTDM rarely see other side of 50 yard line. They limp into Red Stick after get beat by NEArk 3-6 (and Mr. Ho think that in overtime too). LSUA&M defending champions with Lou Saban as coach. LB go insane and start true freshman DT McDowell as QB. Ol' DT McDowell. What a sad story. He have all talent in world and not go to class. He did however, play QB like a maniac. This also time when defense rock. Read story but that not tell whole story. LSUA&M fan in total shock all game. LB should have gone for it on 4th and 2 - back then we might have made 4th and 2. LB kick field goal and TMTDM lead game 20-17. Score 20 point back then equal to like 58 today. Then TMTDM kicker shank kicking off into band section so LSUA&M start at 35 yard line and then they throw pump-fake pass long down field for TD and leave us about 15 second. TMTDM lose that night, but DT go on to lead TMTDM to Computer (The HC we don’t speak of) Bowl in scenic San Jose State stadium, half way around world and it like 40 degree and pouring rain. We blow 14 point lead in that game too, so not think this is a new thing. www.lsusports.net/src/data/lsu/assets/docs/fb/04stats/ls07.htm This also when we Troy State Normal School.

I still think that illegal shift call that called back our TD (which led to the 4th and 2 and FG) was completely bogus...
I also don't think that DeWhitt Betterson should have been stopped against N iU when the whistle that stopped play came from the stands. Good times. Also amazing that Aaron Leak beat Missouri and Marshall to start the year then lost the job to true freshman DT McDowell the next game in a ridiculous loss to N mSU. At least in the old days people accused Blakeney of only taking games against big foes seriously... We gave away several games in 2004 (or we're robbed, especially against SEC). could have been our first top 25 ranking...

Seriously, that Computer (The HC we don’t speak of) Bowl was over-run with Mexican Gangs. Mr. Ho feel like he on set of Westside Story. Plus, if you sit in assigned seat, it like a three mile hike and 4,200 feet vertical climb to get beer. If you sit in corner of stadium, beer stand 10 feet away.

How does San Jose State recruit anybody with that dump of a stadium in that crummy neighborhood?
That was the nastiest weather for a game, capped by it starting an hour late because of a freaking blackout - in SILICON VALLEY!
The field was ankle-plus-deep in mud. The lighting was either worse than high school quality or the electrical system never recovered. I felt like I was climbing Mount Everest to get to the exits at the top of the bowl. Then came the trek through the mudhole to our rent-a-car which was shared by (I swear) 15 people.
How about those tailgating tents, which barely protected us from the freezing monsoon?!
I don't miss that bowl. But it was great to see the west coast and the Golden Gate Bridge for the first and so-far only time.
