Don't agree. Look up what the top FCS coaches make and their teams would destroy us. It will be great if we can pay a coach $800,000, but someone needs to explain how the coach at Eastern Washington, McNeese State, Montana St. Etc are winning and beating FBS teams making $150,000-$200,000 a year. I wish I could agree with you troystet. I think your optimism is misplaced. We also have to deal with the fact that we are trying to lure players to a place where you have to drive almost an hour to go to a mall. We're already fighting an uphill battle here. I'm also not sure it's fair to compare our program to what's being done at Acu and Mcnese. It's a different level of play and bigger towns too. Not saying we don't need a change, but I am very worried about troy turning into another coaching capital or perennial bottomfeeder. I just think you are making it sounds easier than it's going to be. Let's not let our eagerness for change lead us into the abyss. Sent from my KFTT using Tapatalk

Opinions... As long as troystet isn't the online alias for JH, I'll choose to disregard the point. I've seen them in the same area. Not the same people. I think I'll have a beer.

This is why I won't stop giving. The middle or lower giving mans money won't effect the bottom line.......replacing coaches. Its going to take the big boosters pulling money. When that happens people will listen. Now you bring back the middle or lower givers and your able to find solid successors.

Yes, will have to pay next coach more. Saying we can pay one less and win is ludicrous. But we have the money now to pay a coach $800k +. Donate your money to the endzone complex.

McNeese beat USF last year and lost to #18 Nebraska by 7 this year. Eastern Washigton beat Oregon St. North Dakota St. In back to back seasons beat Kansas St. And Iowa St. And yep, this season ACU beat FBS Troy. Georgia Southern hired FCS coach from Sam Houston State and this season lost by 1 to North Carolina and a fumble away Sat from beating Georgia Tech. I would take my chances on a proven winner at the FCS level but it seems everyone is hell bent on ponying up $800,000 to hire a SEC asst who has never been a head coach. We can hire a proven winner from FCS for what LB makes now and whatever team he comes from I could assure you after Sat is better coached and could beat us. Georgia Southern made a great choice and you will see when they hammer us later this year.

Next coach will frankly have to earn a good bit more than CLB and have the ability to pay a staff accordingly. Failing that, we'll get what we put into it...not much. This^^^^
