@john_hartwell: I appreciate & share the passion Troy Trojan Nation has for our football program. Everything we do will be done to improve & win. Go Troy!
Very vague.... But he can't say too much on any matter. But this shows you he hears us and is listening.

Not only have we accepted it, we've embraced it, married it and gotten it pregnant.

I hope that doesn't amount to simply rearranging the furniture on the deck of this titanic. (Firing assistant coaches but keeping LB). If that's the case Hartwell needs to go and Blakeney needs to write a book on Jedi mind tricks and how to manipulate gullible leadership.

Hartwelll does have a boss. He was hand picked by Hawkins. If you want action , email Dear Leader.

Cause Dear Leader has done so much good recently.... In china If China has any DBs with speed we need to cash in on that relationship because the ones we have looked like they were running in mud as the ACU receivers and backs blew past them!

Dr. Hawkins was out amongst the people in full force last night. He was hanging around the cheap seats on the visitor side of the stadium late in the game. I don't know if he was monitoring beer lines or getting a pulse of the fan base, but he was there. I shook his and and spoke on my way back from the Barry McKnight sponsored restroom radio show.

In China, we pick up Chinese students that pay double tuition so we can pay out to ACU or build a new dorm for our great football players to live in.

Not only have we accepted it, we've embraced it, married it and gotten it pregnant. Troystet, John Hartwell has been here, what 21/2 years? Since then we have a new boys basketball coach and staff, a new girls basketball coach and staff a new softball coach and staff a new track coach and staff, a new tennis coach and staff (I think) and the foundation for a committed change in the baseball coach. How much more do you expect out of one guy in 21/2 years? We were down in a lot of areas (NOT BASEBALL) and needed his guidance. Everyone agrees it's needed badly now in football. I agree TOTALLY, the FB program is a mess and I'm as frustrated as you can get over a sport but we have to give the man the benefit of the doubt. It's a lot easier to say, as fans, fire a legend who has brought you to D1 than to be the one who actually has to do it.....but I go agree, it can be done!

Cause Dear Leader has done so much good recently.... Frankly, I for one thinks a LOT of our decline lies at his doorstep because he is the one that can make changes to get funds for the needed additions to facilities as well as salaries! He has the power to use his imagination to rearrange funding for the greater need. The buck stops with him!

Sorry "international fan" but you can't build a dorm for any athletes to live in unless regular students are living in it as well. NCAA regulations so there goes your put down of athletes. If they are in China and don't want to "pay double tuition" then go to a nice Chinese state sponsored university of their choice. That's an easy fix!!!!

We have some, that no matter what a coach or administrator accomplishes they aren't going to be happy until it's done exactly their way. I think I'll have a beer.

Rigsby was hired by Steve Dennis. Hartwell has hired a Mens BB coach and replaced a soccer and tennis coach who left for other schools. Our softball and track coach resigned, which he may or may not had a hand in, and promoted the baseball coach for 2016. Is he better than Dennis, yes. But we still have to see if the hires win. Hoping they do

Our softball and track coach resigned, which he may or may not had a hand in, and promoted the baseball coach for 2016. Is he better than Dennis, yes. But we still have to see if the hires win. Hoping they do I didn't infer that he fired anyone. I just attempted to show that unlike other AD's we've had, he did not just sit by but really tries to make good hires WITH WHAT HE HAS TO WORK WITH FINANCIALLY. Something has to be done about the FB program, everyone understands that but what is realistic? Can you imagine what is going to be available to us at our budget? I just spent a lot of years in a job where firing folks was a constant possibility and I come to realize years ago it's a darn lot easier to demand people's jobs than it is to actually be the one to do it. You are talking lively hoods often of really good people so I am guilty of being careful where I go with my thoughts. YES, we've got issues in the FB program, YES I agree we don't scout south Florida as much as I wished but then I realize the only input I have is from other people, I don't really know how much we recruit there. YES, I agree we need to use less JUCO's but when folks want IMMEDIATE fixes you are not getting that with HS kids. I think the powers that be had better sit down and assess where we are, which is poooooor and where we are going and how go we get there. YES, it's been complicated because of the statue Larry holds and I don't envy John's job dealing with it but it is his job and I have faith he will do what's best but everybody has an opinion on what's best and that's mine.

LB makes $500,000 a year. What did the coach of ACU make? How about McNeese State? Montana St? Eastern Washington? Plenty of great coaches making less than LB and they win.

Next coach will frankly have to earn a good bit more than CLB and have the ability to pay a staff accordingly. Failing that, we'll get what we put into it...not much.

Don't agree. Look up what the top FCS coaches make and their teams would destroy us. It will be great if we can pay a coach $800,000, but someone needs to explain how the coach at Eastern Washington, McNeese State, Montana St. Etc are winning and beating FBS teams making $150,000-$200,000 a year.

Opinions... As long as troystet isn't the online alias for JH, I'll choose to disregard the point.
