While the whole team went to the locker room after the loss. #31 whoever he is went over to the band to song the fight song with the band and tossed his gloves to a small child... We need more like him! Class act

Not all of the classless ones play either, thankfully. Won't say names but 2 players were caught in the caf Friday at lunch trying to sneak away without paying.

At the same time, hard to show class under such terrible conditions as these games have been. Kudos to this guy for showing taste through great adversity.

Looks like he's going to go on to be a science teacher? Good for him, sounds like he's going to be a good role model for the kids.

My daughter said this brought tears to their eyes. Win or lose our players should go over there. These kids work their buts off, put in as many hours as the team, set in the heat and rain in wool uniforms for a big $300 stipend that doesn't cover their band fee, dry cleaning, wind suit rental and fees. This is just another area of no discipline and Blakney's I don't give a s)&@ attitude. Show some class and respect to the band who is out there for them.

He's got 300 new fans after that 301 with me. This is the kind of character that should be playing. You can't tell me we would be any worse. #31 you earned my respect and I hope you know what an impact you made

This is interesting to me because I thought the players were told to not go over to the band after a loss.

If that is a rule I want to put LB's fat A** in a wool uniform and make him sit in the sun and rain, warm up on the quad, watch the players walk through Trojan walk and show no emotion and then be told you only matter when we win. His fat but would pass out in the stands before halftime

Another point of view, and remember this is just my own personal opinion, is that after a loss of any type the team's priority is to get back in that locker room.
Some are assuming a few dozen other men in cardinal aren't class acts because they didn't go sing with the band. Maybe they were following team rules. I don't know if it's a written/unwritten rule or no rule at all. Maybe breaking away from your team and doing your own thing even if it's not a rule is yet another example of the lack of unity in this program.
I love the Sound of the South - even the pep band version, however I do not buy season tickets to watch them. I like when the players come over and celebrate after a win and liked it even more when we used to sit in the endzone GA's.
If the entire team went over last night we'd have social media pictures asking why our players were celebrating after a humiliating loss. Just another side to think about.

There's a big portion of our fan base that only go to the game for the sots.... Especially on band day lol One reason why the stadium starts clearing out after they preform. Guy next to me said he comes to the games for the sots last night actually lol.

This isn't a Sound Of The Wiregrass Forum. He should have had his rear end in the locker room. His actions show that their is loss of control with the coaches. He obviously wasn't afraid of being disciplined. Go with your team #31

Show your respect. Myer with all his faults mandated the team go over win or lose. There are 300 plus kids working their tails off, show some freakin respect

As a former member of SOTS, I wanted the team to come celebrate, no matter the outcome. We had to start practice at 9 or earlier, warm up at 2, Trojan Walk at 3:30 then cheer on the team no matter how good they did and then we got no recognition....it really made me wonder if the team cared if we were there or not.
