DT would love to see them get brought down a few notches. Pretty cocky right now. Pun intended?

Considering Martin was originally committed to Alabama before signing with Troy, I'd say he must be a good kicker.

After doing some research, I can confirm that the women's team will be playing: Mississippi State MTSU Chattanooga Southeastern Louisiana I found last two, but where were you able to find first two? They are just showing last year's schedule? CORRECTION: Now found three but not MSU. Good word, and look forward to whole schedule coming out! www.cdispatch.com/sports/article.asp?aid=81527

If Watson plays, we get an upset victory. (The HC we don’t speak of) (The HC we don’t speak of) throws the kitchen sink at home.
If Free plays, we lose by at least 21.

Jacob also has trouble with the wheel route pass Free looked so, so bad today. Even Georgia Southern fans feel bad for us. Free had terrible form all day. Throwing off back foot, not planting feet, not stepping into throw, eyeing down his receivers, overthrowing, underthrowing, throwing behind.... Just bad. Please don't let him be the starter against Coastal Carolina.

Jacob Free has been throwing off his back foot, throwing behind receivers, and overthrowing receivers.
Now I see why Watson is the starter.
Free just happened to look really good against Georgia State and Ark State because they have awful pass defenses.

Someone, PLEASE, go find a kicker.
Legassey can't be the starter anymore. He's absolutely terrible and squanders opportunities to get points.
Put in Jack Martin, see what he does. But Legassey CANNOT stay on as the kicker.

Troy women's basketball was picked to win the Sun Belt title this season, and it wasn't very close.
The conference schedule sets up very well for Troy this season. We have to play a Coastal Carolina team that was really good last season, but they lost some key players. They even lost the best player in the SBC, which is going to hurt them quite a bit.
I really like our chances this season once again. Can't wait to see what the OOC schedule looks like.

I won't make a prediction...
But I do like the speed and athleticism of our D-Line and LB's against Georgia Southern's option offense. Having good LB's is key in stopping an option offense.
Our DB's just have to play well and not bite on fake runs that turn into big pass plays.

B,B,B but. We have a QB Coach now, disguised as a HC. And heâs done a good job with Barker, and Gunnar Watson and now Free Exactly. Barker in 2019 was a phenomenal passer. He was light years ahead of his 2018 passing abilities. And that's not because of Neal Brown either. Neal Brown left before Barker recovered and was able to start working on his form. (The HC we don’t speak of) (The HC we don’t speak of) helped do that, and Barker had even said so himself. I've gotta give it to (The HC we don’t speak of), he knows how to develop QB's somehow.

This dude went up against Jonathan Adams, who was a preseason 1st Team All-SBC selection and was on the Biletnikoff Award Watch List.
Dunlap held him to his lowest receptions/yards all season. He was all over Adams and kept beating him to the ball. Not only that, Dunlap kept turning around to find the ball, and played with great discipline. He looked like a veteran.
I knew Dunlap was a good CB, but this dude stepped up big and showed just how good he can be.

We did what Kansas State couldn’t do...... Very good conference win against a good conference foe ( kiss their rings) ........Not uncommon for teams to have head scratcher loss, let’s hope GAST was ours. I personally think we match up well against Coastal Great to see our secondary speak with their play instead of antics I like our chances against Georgia Southern. We match up well against their option offense. I also like our chances against Coastal. They're a phenomenal team, but I've been believing this whole season that we have a good team with a lot of speed. If we stop their QB, we have a great chance.

I personally think we match up well against Coastal Great to see our secondary speak with their play instead of antics Here's the thing... I believe on any other day, Troy beats Georgia State. They had the #6 offense in the nation, and we kept them to just 379 total yards, and held them to 41% on 3rd Down Conversions. That's very good. We lost that game in the red zone. We fumbled on the GSU 17 yard line, missed a field goal at the GSU 12 yard line, and threw an interception in the endzone. Troy kept GSU in the game with the mistakes. If even just one of those mistakes doesn't occur, we likely win that game.

As far as a learning curve with all out pressure, Watson is ahead. Neither are tremendous run threats but at present have to go back to Watson due to our offense becoming virtually one dimensional with Jacob (and that is a little odd given neither are runners) However, after BYU Watson adapted to a little better under all out pressure (IMHO) I don't know.... Jacob Free scrambling for that TD and reaching for the pylon was an impressive decision. Most pro style QB's would keep looking for a WR and simply throw it away.

The only thing I hate about the offense under Free is that the running game is not even an afterthought. It doesnât exist. Itâs like (The HC we don’t speak of) has a new toy to use, and heâs gone all in on it. That might hurt us given the tougher sledding ahead. It already doesn't exist, not because (The HC we don’t speak of) doesn't want to run, but for whatever reason the blocking isn't opening up holes for our RB's. I'd rather pass for 400+ yards a game with no rush attack under Free, than barely pass for 300 yards with no rush attack under Watson.

I've got to say... I'm starting to like Free as the starter.
He won't hesitate to throw a 30-yard or 40-yard bomb.
Watson seems to not prefer deep passes, which lends to him having a higher completion % and less INT's, but he's also throwing for less yards.
Jacob Free just chucked the ball over 400 yards today, something Watson didn't even do against weak pass defenses like MTSU, Georgia State, and EKU.

Per Twitter:
Gunnar Watson will not be playing against Arkansas State; is still recovering from a rib injury.
Jacob Free is now the man.

The RB room next year would consist of: 3-star Kimani Vidal 4-star Charles Strong 4-star Jarris Williams )he's rated a 4-star on ESPN recruiting) 3-star Jamontez Woods That's insane. If nothing else, (The HC we don’t speak of) (The HC we don’t speak of) is bringing in some stellar recruits. The cupboard won't be bare, for him or any other future coach. We're a pass first team. We gained 40 yards rushing last game with a stable of fine RB's. Not sure how this fits? And last year we averaged nearly 150 rush yards per game. And DK Billingsley was 99 yards shy of rushing for 1,000 yards that season. All while Kaleb Barker is #15 in the nation in passing yards.
(The HC we don’t speak of) (The HC we don’t speak of) likes to run the football. I just think there is something not quite right with the blocking/opening run lanes, or something.

If we don't start winning, the transfer portal will be our starting running back. That's what scares me. We have the potential to be good this year, and GREAT next year. Tons of starters and two-deep return. If we have a bunch of players transfer though, we're screwed.

Before what baseball winds up being? Are you saying you expect them to be good, or bad? Fair question. Put it this way, I think the baseball program may need a "culture change." Interesting. I don't know anything about that, so I'll leave it alone. What I do know is we get all of the starters back (except in the pitching rotation), which could help give us a great season.
