These two posts are money. Come on Troy, get in that portal and pluck some talent, we have some holes to fill. HCJS pitch to Talent: "Front Porch, money for nothing and chicks for free."

This isn't likely to impact TMTDM, although it could, but it does involve the portal and a former thorn in our side. One of the doctors I work with is a UF grad and athletics booster. He said that the UF fan base was excited at the possibility of having Grayson McCall come to Gainesville. He said those hopes were dashed when he couldn't qualify for entry into UF (in all fairness, UF is a REALLY difficult school to qualify for). An AU supporter who was involved in the conversation said the same issue reared its head at AU - there was in issue with either his major transferring or his grades were inadequate. I write this having high confidence that the two sources are informed. If that's the case, McCall may choose to remove his name from the portal and return to the chicken coop, or he may decide to go to a FCS school and try to dominate there. It'll be interesting to see how this plays out.

Sources have confirmed that to play foootball at UF (which is a hard place to get into as Bubba stated) is not as hard to get into if one plays foootball. So, to not qualify to play foootball he is not toooooo long on academics. Now still have some standards but it apppears the blue footed boobies May indeed get their QB back.

He’s also never thrown an incompletion as a college QB. 8/8 85 yards.. while I doubt he can maintain that clip, this is a very nice get!!!

Excellent pick-up for the team. We needed it. Guarded optimism for the possibility of him coming in and really elevating the QB play for 2023. But as with everything have to wait to see if he can actually do it. But like the coaching staff going out and making a move. Not sure if this is the staff saying they are unsure they have what they need at QB already on campus Or just a value pickup, so it say. (Craddock previously recruited him)

Smokes going to CU with Prime. Dudes that gullible we don’t need him Let's not be contrite, Colorado is on the upswing and will attract a lot of eyes this year. I don't blame him and hope Prime does well actually. Helps upset the whole apple cart.

Looks like we picked up Iowa transfer Reggie Bracy. The strong safety was the backup to All-American safety Kaevon Merriweather. Iowa was the #1 rated defense last season according to ESPN's S&P+. Looks like a good get overall.

I like it. I live in a town with Chipola college 21-1 basketball so far in JUCO conference that is really tough. However, the point is I have been watching Chipola BBall for 30 plus years and this is my favorite team because of their behavior and stims from a no nonsense coach. Looking the part will change how guys act. Few years back there was a discussion about how our FB team looked and many younger folks did not think discipline makes that big a difference. Oh yes it does In everything you do. Prime knows how to win and he may not have been the most disciplined character himself but he knows in todays world giving too much latitude is NOT a good idea for todays young people. Jon Sumrall does not really strike me as a dimwit like our past coach.

Played @ Austin HS, Decatur AL. Coming out of high school, Martin was a 4-star prospect and the No. 9 running back in the country per the 247 Sports Composite. He was a part of an impressive 2018 recruiting class for Auburn but failed to make a big impact with the program. Martin finished his freshman season with 57 rushing yards and 93 total yards of offense before transferring. In the 2022 season, Martin led Memphis with 747 yards from scrimmage and finished second on the team with 8 touchdowns. He heads to Troy with over 1,400 yards of offense and 13 touchdowns in his career.

Kimani Vidal, Asa Martin, and Jamontez Woods in the backfield?
That's just nuts.
Probably the best backfield we've had since Jordan Chunn, Josh Anderson, and Jabir Frye.
