Anyone familiar with what the half-time show will be this year? Not sure the title but the. Opener is hoedown American composers, or an all Copeland show, which would be really cool, IMHO.

Ok... just gonna say the show was really... odd. I'm normally stoked about half-time no matter what the team is doing, but this one had me checking my phone halfway through the first song and the crowd around me looked about as engaged...

I had heard this was a redo of a show from 2006? Don't know if that's true. The band is amazing but this show just doesn't have the wow factor IMO. As my favorite scene from the movie "Drumline" I was waiting to hear " hit em with flight of the bumble bee" lol

We had much more appropriate choreography, I think. Hell, we clogged and the whole band danced. lol Also, it sounded MUCH better then because we still had a pit percussion at the time, which carried the melody and improved the drum break. See for yourself. (Hoe Down starts at about 4 minutes)

We also did a redo of Hoedown for our western show somewhere around 2008, it was the second show of the year.

Was it in the Cowboys Show? I don't remember playing Hoedown but that doesn't mean much. There's a lot I don't remember from my freshman year

Getting a better guard would do huge wonders for the sots.
Even in 2002 the guard was light years better than it is today.

Not a huge fan of this year's show either. Not much innovation... reminds me of the offensive play calling

2002 Hoedown was the best! I was in pit and got to play a wash pan, among the usual mallet stuff. lol
