Efe Odigie is in the portal. Big loss.
Apparently athletes would rather keep jumping around to different schools instead of being a reliable person.
He's been to UTEP, Troy, and now off to his third school.

This hurts. That's 9 players gone from last year's team, including Graduates. I'm suspicious players don't like the Cross system.
Total rebuild for next season, we don't reach Championships by rebuilding every year.

Total rebuild for next season, we don't reach Championships by rebuilding every year. I don't know if it's the Cross system, so much as it is transferring has become the socially cool thing to do and a way to hopefully get an NIL deal. This would not be an issue if the NCAA brought back the 1 year sit-out rule for transfers. Texas State, Louisiana, Coastal Carolina, Georgia Southern, and Arkansas State have all been ripped apart by the portal too, just like Troy. All of them have lost a handful of their best players.

Thank you NCAA for being completely inept when it comes to dealing with current issues. So, why are they transferring? If it’s NIL reasons, than Troy needs to remedy this if possible, or it will continue to be a revolving door. If it’s for other reasons, the administration needs to find out why, which I’m sure they will.

Their whole lives they got a trophy for showing up, they were told everyone is a winner, if you don't succeed it is because of someone else not because of you. If you don't start or play it's because the coach doesn't like you, doesn't appreciate you, doesn't realize your talent. The NC double A-holes just made it 1,000 times harder for coaches now with the most untitled generation in history

Big schools have more access to a wide variety of donors/business owners, on top of having greater media exposure for their players. Small schools like Troy will always find it harder to compete in the NIL department unless Troy becomes the next UCF/Boise State in football. Business owners in and around Troy can help by offering NIL deals to players. That will go a long way.

It used to be about earning a scholarship, having nice facilities to play, fan support, and a great coach to develop a student athlete to reach his/her potential and maybe reach the next level. Now, it seems all about how much money can I make? I don’t begrudge a player receiving money, considering what coaches make, but man, this is killing college athletics as we knew it.
There are no more “student athletes” but “semi professionals” who happen to attend a college that offers the most dough. The NCAA has gone MIA and apparently, has no answers. Any thinkers outside the box out there? Is there any turning back now that the genie is out of the bottle?

Anyone here have any idea if "Former Trojan" transfers had offers of NIL $$$?? Frankly, I'm not convinced ANY of them (other than Alexus Dye) had anything to offer big name programs with NIL supporters.

100% truth. You know what a college "Student-Athlete" is entitled to? a 100% free education in exchange for playing sports. I'm sure that thousands of students who are working two jobs and graduating with debt don't feel a bit sorry for them

Get back the Wiley Sanders "Offensive Line", The Sikorsky "Secondary", The Walmart "Wide Outs", The Rook's "Running Backs", The Crowe's " Kickers", The Double Branch " D-Line", Troy Country Club "Qb's", and the Lockheed "Line Backers"

So you expect to go back to the same till(s) that got us here? I can hear the answer now. "Well, ahh, we'll donate but cancel our season tickets, Trojan Terrace annual fee, VIP Booth at the Arena (which BTW, we don't even use) etc." What we need is Alums and Troy U vendors outside the local area to pony up. I kinda like "DG's Horse Country Pre-Owned All-American Autos" endowment for Troy Football.

Rental car companies are buying used cars, there is no off lease returns, and prices are up almost 50%. My inventory right now is 75% less than what it should be

As I recall, you cancelled season tickets and opted for GA endzone tix. Your posts here. If you want your words to have impact, (The HC we don’t speak of) in for the old Alma Mater.

And you thought that my post about Bundling together was serious It was called sarcasm as we don't have the big name corporate donors of other schools (fact). Good grief. But to your point. Nobody is under any obligation (Alumni, Fan or anyone) to give one cent to Troy. I chose to not have SC seats to attend one game a year if I was lucky. I have and will continue to purchase GA end zone season tickets because I enjoy watching a game from the end zone and it affords me a option of bringing family members 330 miles to Troy for a game if they choose. I have also contributed to the Excellence Fund this year. What anyone gives dollar amount is no ones business and I don't care what someone gives as long as they give and no one is under obligation to do it. You do it because you want to and you do the level you can A) afford or B) choose to do. Go Troy!!
