Word on the street is that Southern Miss to the Sunbelt is a done deal. Another school (Marshall?) is waiting on an answer from the American, but has an open invite to the SBC if that falls through.
James Madison is being looked at as well.

Let's join the YMCA, maybe we can win a game against some 5th graders.

What about Liberty? I also hear we might encourage their non football teams to leave to another conference

Lots and lots of speculation but if this one is true that is a tough league and like em or not Liberty has lots of money and will be very competitive.

I don’t like being in the western division. I know the East is much harder but iron sharpens iron. I don’t want to lose the App game from the schedule.

Notre Dame ACC and BYU headed to the B12. I would think Liberty would love an invite .Just realize that a Liberty without HCHF may not be near as competitive

If that is East and West it means we move to the West and the East would be BRUTAL!! App, Coastal, Liberty, GATA and Marshall in the same division. West would be basically us and ULL and maybe Ark St. One ridiculously strong division and one weak

So is the sunbelt getting rid of uta and ualr since they don't play football? We’ve added several “affiliate universities” that don’t play football and that’s not going to change. This isn’t even confirmed but we’ll see what happens.

So is the sunbelt getting rid of uta and ualr since they don't play football? They should, to strengthen the conference overall.

If a school doesn't play football, then they often have soccer or wrestling and they compete with schools outside of the conference. It's like peanut butter and no jelly. KoolAid and no sugar. Ham and no burger.
