Troy is favored by 24 points for ULM. Is ULM that bad ? Yes. They almost lost to Jackson State (the Deon Sanders lead team) last week. • 0-10 last season, but have a new coaching staff. They may be worse this year. • 87 total yards vs Kentucky to start the season, 17 yards rushing. • O-line has given up nine sacks through two games, including an FCS game with Jackson State. • ULM is the worst rushing offense in America, by a large margin, gaining on 1.32 yards per carry. • Scored zero touchdowns vs their FCS opponent, needing four field goals and three turnovers from Jackson State to get out with a win. The TMTDM defense should be able to keep them in check even on a bad day. Their defense may be improved from last season, but Troy really needs to get into the 40s for me to feel better about our offensive production moving forward.

They haven't led in a game since 2019. Just interviewed their play by play man for this week's episode of the Troy Boyz podcast and he has a great outlook on what we can expect this Saturday.

I hope we score a lot on a team this bad, but I would more than ANYTHING like to see more than 49 rushing yards. I know we have the talent on O-line and in the RB stable, but whatever isn’t clicking needs to click and click fast. If we don’t establish the comfort to keep the ball on the ground and drain out clock, we have no shot at beating USC. In fact one of the few offensive highlights I have enjoyed is seeing targets go to a TE. Must be the first time in 10 years I felt like we’ve had a threat there that defenses had to look out for.

I think we win and I think we win convincingly. It is a conference W and that counts big time. I hope this team gets better every week. I'm proud of TMTDM and I think they make ULM suffer this weekend. I think offense will be able to get the 24 points we are predicted to win by due to good field position provided by TMTDM.
Other than that... Cry Havoc! and.... Has the coaching search committee been formed?

Once read ( think Drew Champlain wrote it) that each year Troy wins one it shouldn’t and looses one it shouldn’t. Let’s hope Saturday is not the latter.

I agree with all this but am reminded how ULM somehow manages to give us fits when they're awful. This is one of the wins I expect, but I'm not entirely ready to bank on.

Biggest win in Troy history over LSU and then we lose at home to south Gump and we put up 8 points. Weird. I'm sure there are other examples, but that has to be the biggest example.

A Malone, Beware DWare, Dewhitt, and many others. I believe Troy had 6guys in the NFL from that team. CLB was really disappointed with that NMSt. loss. Lots of us were.

^ I've been saying this for months. 7-5 is the nightmare scenario if your concern is bidding bon voyage to the (The HC we don’t speak of) Ship. Particularly if it turns into 8-5 with a bowl win.

At Troy - the only real thing we have to play for is a Conference Championship, A Bowl Win and a win over a Power 5 Those are the goals in that order at Troy in my opinion If we win a conference championship and we beat a Power 5 - if there is a 12 team playoff, we probably get in That is as good as it will ever get
Has (The HC we don’t speak of) done anything - to this point - that shows he can compete for a championship? We have not beaten a team with a winning record.
So, the conversation between (The HC we don’t speak of) and AD should happen around game 7 or 8 - if he is staying it is announced then. If not, it is announced then.
Early signing period no longer allows for a move after the season.
So all that being said - unless we compete for the Conference Championship this year - as an AD I would move on.
Troy can never afford to fall behind further in the current environment. We must play for championships

Don't underestimate ULM.
Yeah, they barely beat Jackson State... but Deion Sanders has brought in huge amounts of 4-star and 5-star transfers into that program. Their QB was a 4-star player who Nick Saban wanted. You could argue they're a more talented team than ULM.
ULM, on the other hand, has also brought in a BUNCH of transfers. They're more talented than last season, but maybe not as experienced. They brought in transfers in key positions from schools like Oklahoma, Texas, LSU, Arizona, Missouri, Georgia Tech, Purdue, Wake Forest, UCF, New Mexico, USF, South Alabama, and FAU.

Could someone please tell me what game we won that we were supposed to lose in the last 2 years! Under (The HC we don’t speak of) we have only lost games that we were supposed to win ULM always plays us tough at there house! I still think we should win by 21. This. Is the year of no excuses. No distractions no Schedule changes so (The HC we don’t speak of) has a Several chances to get a signature win! He is 0-1 because if the offense could score it could have been against Liberty. SCAR , App, Louisiana and Coastal are all opportunities for a signature win. Winning all 4 gets (The HC we don’t speak of) an extension( highly unlikely). Winning 2 of them is the nightmare scenario, and winning only 1 or none sends him packing

I never underestimate a game with ULM being challenging. It may not wind up being and I honestly would not be surprised by winning big. I am just saying I would be equally not surprised by a close game after all we have the secret weapon to make a near sure thing into a nail biter. The secret weapon guesses should be limited to the following multiple choice question. Our secret weapon to make things difficult is? A) Team outbreak of Chlamydia B) Team outbreak of Dengue Fever C) Team outbreak of (The HC we don’t speak of)

If ULM is your "signature win" you shouldn't be the coach at Troy.
