Liberty is the game to determine how hot the seat is for (The HC we don’t speak of). Beating a ranked opponent and finally defending the wall buys him a lot of security and hope of a 10 win season. Losing a close game pretty much keeps things the way they are now and gives us the same feeling as last year when we lost to Coastal. Getting blown out will make the seat fire hot and a loss to Southern Miss and SC might just send him packing early. With all that said I am hoping for at least 10 wins for our players and fans. See you at the vet Sept 11 I gotta disagree. I think the bar has been lowered. Fester doesn't have to live up to the legendary XHCNB, he only has to compete for conference championships. So if he can manage to somehow win over the south gumps and the sclu mud dogs then I think he gets a pass. I hope I am wrong.

To be fair, Neal brown only won one conference championship, one that was shared by our neighbors in Boone, NC. I love Neal Brown, but legendary status belongs to the one and only Larry Blakeney. Five conference titles in five years. The GOAT of Troy Football.

Neal was great ! He brought a winning culture back to Troy. Larry is the Legend! Heâs the one that got Neal connected with Troy in the 1st place. Either way they were both great for Troy and so far (The HC we don’t speak of) cannot even hold a candle to the 2 of them.

I think the Baseball situation says a lot. A well like Coach was transitioned to another position. The AD hired a new Coach. I think the AD will do what is right if needed for football as well.
AD inherited a coach with a contract. He is honoring the contract. But, again, he will make a decision at the end of the year and if he feels pulling the plug on (The HC we don’t speak of), he will.

He can probably only mimic a candle stick holder when it comes to those two other coaches. So, technically he should be able to hold a candle stick, maybe not to them but more correctly stated for them.
