According to a very reliable source he is headed back home to Texas to be closer to family. May be going to Texas Tech.

He was a favorite but it is next man up. In addition with the extra year I don’t blame the kid for wanting to be closer to home. Good luck and he is an exciting player.

The good news is we have plenty of speedy WR's that can step up in that Y slot. It's hard to replace experience, but it's better to do it now than right before the season starts.
Tez Johnson was already showing huge potential behind Geiger in that Y slot. And then there is Jabre Barber, who is probably one of the fastest WR's on the roster. Also, don't forget the speedy freshman Peyton Higgins... he may see early playing time.

I'm guessing he wants to be closer to family. In case you aren't aware.....Kaylon and his girlfriend are expecting a "little Geiger" in the beginning of August.

Eh. Talent is talent, no matter the record. Yeah, that's why the Heisman always goes to some player on a 5-7 team and not the Nat Champ His statement was about scouts. Scouts will find talent no matter the record of the team.

Yeah, that's why the Heisman always goes to some player on a 5-7 team and not the Nat Champ Examples: 2016 Number 1 Pick: Jared Goff (Cal) Record: 8-5 2013 Number 1 pick: Eric Fisher (Central Michigan) Record: 7-6 2006 Number 1 Pick: Mario Williams (NC State) Record: 7-5 Shoot, even our own Osi Umenyiora was drafted off a team that went 4-8

That is what happens when you underutilize talent. Surprised Todd is sticking around.

If Reggie Todd leaves, we're screwed.
With Geiger leaving, that gives Todd a chance to be the go-to guy. He could have some nice stats that get him noticed.

Also noticed Tray Eafford and Sam Letton are no longer on the roster, though that may be old news. Eafford was a talented player with some deep ball skills under Neal Brown. Didn't see him as much under (The HC we don’t speak of). Maybe we get a talented guy out of the portal.
