Troy checks in at 40 — probably dinged because the first two conference series were against UTA (No. 94) and Georgia State (No. 151). Fortunately Troy is 6-0 in those games.
The six losses are to the No. 1 team (Alabama), No. 7 team twice (Auburn), No. 11 (Liberty), No. 44 (North Carolina) and a protested loss to No. 115 (Southern Miss). Not too bad. Hopefully Troy can notch some Top 25 wins. A grand opportunity awaits with a tournament at Tennessee this weekend.

Good test at UT. Glad to see we eliminated a bunch of patsies like we had been playing and then getting throat stomped by big teams. Play the best gets you better. Play tough OCC teams gets you better prepared for conference play. I haven't been a Mullins fan but she stepped up her recruiting area and schedule. Conference looks good for us. We still have to get to ULL level but I think we might be on the right track.

Troy's RPI is good considering we've beaten a LOT of bad teams. There isn't much wiggle room from here on out though. Here are the teams we have beaten:
#34 Ole Miss #44 North Carolina #52 UAB #87 Samford #94 UTA #115 Southern Miss #119 Mercer #150 Memphis #151 Georgia State #156 Southeastern Louisiana #179 Western Carolina #196 Belmont
Now we have to play a #201 Furman twice this weekend. So that will hurt. It will be VERY important to get at least one win this weekend against #17 Tennessee. Can't keep losing the big games if Troy wants to have a shot at making a Regional.

And this is probably the toughest schedule we have had. A few years ago we were playing Sacred Heart, UNY-Long Island, North Dakota etc. I agree hat until we start beating top teams we are not going to ever get to a Regional with ULL in our conference

We still have series against South Alabama and ULL to come that will potentially help.

And ULL and USA are down this year. If there was ever a time to win the conference or get some high-RPI wins, this is the year.

ULL is down by their standards but they are still 16-6 with losses to #11 LSU, #8 OK St and #10 Texas (and they won one game with them). They did slip up and lose one to UT-Arlington. I do agree if we have a chance this might be the year. South has been going down for several years. I know two parents of players that daughters transfered out after one season

Drat. Weather has caused the cancellation of this weekend's tournament in Knoxville.
