Good Luck ladies! Our men fought Texas A&M earlier this season and came up short but this would be great for our program!

β Unlike the men's tournament, in which eight (8) 15 seeds and twenty-one (21) 14 seeds have won their opening games since that tournament expanded to 64 teams in 1985, no 14 or 15 seed has ever won a game in the women's tournament. The closest any 15 seed came to winning was in 2017, when Long Beach State lost 56β55 to Oregon State.β

And it would be a total shock to everyone outside of Trojan Nation. Iβve read no analysis on the major sites that mentions Texas A&M as a potential upset victim. Every mention of the Aggies is about how deep of a run they will make.

With the way Troy rebounds... if the women can hit their shots, and not make mental mistakes with turnovers... Troy can beat Texas A&M.

Hitting shots early will be critical because TAMU is comfortable running the floor. Troy will need to keep pace in order to put pressure on the Aggies and maybe make them press on shots and shot selection.

In our last visit, Troy hung with one of the best Miss. St. squads for about a half. A cold spell just before halftime took the wind out of the sails. Avoid that, and Troy can give TAMU some real trouble.

Troy Fouls 11 Texas A & M 3
Call a lot of basketball in my day. Should never be that far apart.
8 point advantage from the line. They have hurt us from 3.

I always worry about the last minute and a half before the end of a half, and that is a major difference. Still can make a run.

That 3 at the end of the half plus two free throws I think was a big swing. Single digit lead otherwise.
