Congrats to this staff and players. Do I need to remind y’all that just before Coach Rigby’s arrival, Troy won 3 conference games over a two year period... THREE! What she has done for ladies hoops is possibly the greatest turn around we’ve ever seen at Troy. Can’t wait for the Big Dance and already looking forward to next year.

Auburn wouldn't give her the same treatment.
I also wonder if some of the bigger schools haven't gone after Rigby because of her style of play? Maybe P5 schools are worried it wouldn't be successful at that level. It's a SIGNIFICANT shift from how other schools in the P5 play. Or maybe she has gotten some offers and she hasn't accepted?
One thing is for sure... if she stays at Troy, she can become to Troy what Pat Summit was to Tennessee. No doubt she is already building a resume to be in the College Basketball HOF.
BRENT JONES! GIVE CHANDA RIGBY AND THE ASSISTANTS A RAISE AND BIG EXTENSIONS! MORE THAN DESERVING!

Coach Rigby is a champion and we are blessed she is a Trojan. I know there will be interest from a wealthier school, and I want her to do the best for herself, but... if we could pay her a bit more, it would be worth it. I know we saved some money from the bonus cash we thought we would pay Fester... give her some of that.

The last that I heard, The Warrior Club fund was depleted during this covid-stressed athletic year. Call your favorite Troy Athletics development person and ante up!! You can even earmark your support for Troy Ladies Basketball if that's your wish. cornhole can't argue with the effort that deserves recognition, just that reality may limit our competitiveness.

The Warrior Club fund was depleted during this covid-stressed athletic year. Part of it. IMO the other part is (The HC we don’t speak of) "Blah" (The HC we don’t speak of) and back to back lousy 5 win seasons, men's BB nothing to write home about since 2010 and baseball so-so. Women's BB has been the consistent but unfortunately women's sports alone don't drive contributions. Want to get the athletic donations up then have winning men's revenue producing sports. I hope and pray we keep Rigby. One thing in our favor is her style of play is not popular with P5 schools. Let's hope we can keep her because I don't have any faith in our administration right now on hiring coaches.

The women's team won a whopping "2" games the season before she was hired. She took a Yugo and made it a Ferrari. Compare that to (The HC we don’t speak of) who took a Ferrari and in two seasons turned it into a Festiva

For those few fans that may be unaware...
HC Chanda Rigby coached the PJC Pirates in that same venue her Trojans played (and won) their first two games in last weekend.
"Prior to taking over the Trojan program in 2012-13, Rigby spent 12 years at the junior college level. She spent seven seasons at Pensacola State where she coached three WBCA All-Americans as well as one McDonald’s All-American and four NJCAA All-Americans. She guided the Pirates to a combined 64-6 record over the last two seasons with two trips to the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Final Four and earned two third-place finishes."
