Went down to 2 seconds, App inbounded and failed to convert; Troy moves to finals at 2:30 tomorow.

In the first quarter Troy held App to 3 fg’s. All their other points came from fouls, some seemingly called on Troy to keep the game close

Troy is going to have to play cleaner basketball against Louisiana. The Cajuns thrive on foul calls and getting to the free-throw line.
That's the only reason Louisiana was able to beat Little Rock today... the Cajuns had 12 more points in free-throws, and forced Little Rock's best player into foul trouble.

Sunbelt champ goes to the NCAA tournament
Will the runner up go to the WNIT or be sent home?

Sunbelt champ goes to the NCAA tournament Will the runner up go to the WNIT or be sent home? In a normal year, the regular season champ (Louisiana) would get the automatic bid to WNIT if they don't make the NCAA tourney... but the WNIT has reduced it's size from 64 to 32 teams this season, and is only giving partial automatic bids. In other words... If Troy beats Louisiana, Troy goes to the NCAA's and Louisiana "likely" goes to the WNIT. If Louisiana beats Troy, Louisiana goes to the NCAA's and Troy goes home. Troy would have to hope that a WNIT at-large bid comes along... or maybe even a WBI bid.

Why would Louisiana automatically go to NIT with a kids but Troy goes home? I guess winning will make it a mute point!

Why would Louisiana automatically go to NIT with a kids but Troy goes home? I guess winning will make it a mute point! Because Louisiana was the regular season champion, and Troy was not. Regular season champs get rewarded with an NIT bid if they don't win the conference tournament.
