It sure is a +++ to see all these Trojan FB Players so positive about next year. They certainly are in a position to have a better handle on the program than those on this board who accept rumors and innuendo as direction of the program.
There has been NO Exodus through the Portal as several here have predicted.
This team appears to be loaded going into 2021-22 season.

Yes, I would like for ALL the people on here that said the transfer portal would be lit up by Trojan players getting out of dodge to explain why they were so wrong. Own it, don't back down. Don’t run. I don’t mind calling you out.

It is great the players are coming back..it's to bad that head scratcher is back to lead them to another 5-7 year.

I disagree... 2019 was definitely not a loaded team after so many key players transferred and got injured.
In 2020 we definitely had more depth, but having some rough QB play didn't help. Many big scoring plays this season where a wide-open WR was downfield, and Free or Watson either didn't see them or checked down too quickly to the RB for a minimal gain.

Both of these guys looked great in high school and showed a lot of promise. While he is the QB coach and it’s his responsibility to get these guys ready to go, it doesn’t always pan out. Both have shown 0 understanding of the field and it’s worrisome neither developed, but sometimes players simply don’t.

Basically it comes down to reading defensive movement and where your guys are suppose to go with said D movement. In Highschool it is 2nd gear. Throw to the guy that is open. In College it is 5th gear. Throw to the guy who is going to be open. Pro is 10th gear and throw to the guy who might have 6 inches on the guy who is really good at not tipping his hand. One must also be able to do all this under pressure. Master level Aaron Rodgers. A heavy pass rush should not shut down response and some guys can not get by that part of it. Truth is development is hard to guess at a high level

So head scratcher isn't the qb whisperer everyone said he was. It takes a whisperer and a reasonably smart dog to sit, shake, beg etc. No amount of whispering will achieve success with a canine that just don't have it. In simpler, more relevant terms, that most here can relate to.... Not even Usain Bolt could have coached Corey Robinson to an under 10 second 40 yd dash.

Maybe with some of those fiber steel blade legs, like the girl in the movie Kingsman.

I am not sure but most of the linemen were faster than Corey. As to hunting dog training or whispering or drooling I am not sure. But I am sure the the Paducah bazooka was the slowest skilled position I have ever seen and that includes middle school!

HS as well. Mcneil had great success at JUCO level. Hard to understand why they got few to no reps when this was our obvious weakest link other than our head coach.

One has to ask and calculate why all of these players are staying when it would have been so easy to leave via the Portal. Do they see or know something that we old alumni donât know ? They are on the ground, in it everyday.

Correct. The Portal giveth and the portal taketh away. Truth for both players and programs.

I will be surprised if we get better next year. However, if we are better, I won't be impressed because we should compete for our division next year and the Conference. Talent level is there. Anything less, failure!
is that negative - if you say so. I call it setting the bar, expectation.

If (The HC we don’t speak of) is so good at developing qbs why did he not let the QB 3 throw the ball against Ap state during garbage time? I really want to be proven wrong about (The HC we don’t speak of) but in 2 years I havenât seen him prove that he can develope a qb or win the game with a game plan and make adjustments! I will say that the players like him and want to play for him! That is a good sign

Why are we still hating? The Portal didnât light up, like many said it would. Letâs support our players and GAWD forbid support the staff! Seriously, if nothing is changing why do we continue B**** about it? We are grown a$$ men! Why are we constantly looking for the negative?

Seriously, if nothing is changing why do we continue B**** about it? We are grown a$$ men! Why are we constantly looking for the negative? I know it can be a pain to hear this continually brought up, but this is something that one way or another we all have an investment in. Whether youâre a fan who spends your time watching, an alumni who spent their scholarship money here or is still paying off student loans, or youâre a committed member of the Trojan Warrior Program who literally specifies their charitable donation goes to football. Any way it goes, if you invest in an entity, you want to see it succeed. You also donât want it to fall behind competitors in a crowded market. I feel like this is where many people stand. We donât want to complain about it just to complain. We all care very passionately about it because we want to see these young guys succeed in all aspects at Troy. Itâs very hard to support the effort we see from the coaching staff.

I want to see it the entity succeed indeed. I have just gotten to the point I just don't expect it to. I will say the defensive staff has gotten better and made adjustments better than the offense.
