According to 247sports today, Whisenhunt found a home at Charlotte! Looking at Charlotte's depth chart, Justin has a good chance to play. 3 Freshman safeties and one recruit.

Tyler Murray is there as well. I'm pretty sure he's won conference honors during the season.

We have QB's - can't wait to see Parker be very successful wherever he lands

The next Gardner Minshew? It would not surprise me one bit. I was actually at the game when Navarro won the Juco championship. He was really talented. The Mcneil/Geiger combo was hard to stop. It confirms to me that (The HC we don’t speak of) isnât too smart given he didnât even give him or Kyle a chance after our inconsistent QB performance this year.

All the folks that have stated that Troy would see a mass exodus via the Transfer Portal, please let us know when the exodus begins.

Saint - our program sucks bro and will continue to suck until (The HC we don’t speak of) (The HC we don’t speak of) resigns or gets fired. I can't stand the guy. And his character is just as bad as his head coaching skills. There I said it and a bunch of us feel the same way. I am out of the Kool Aid for this guy.
So not seeing transfers does not surprise me - its easy at Troy

All the folks that have stated that Troy would see a mass exodus via the Transfer Portal, please let us know when the exodus begins. I'm with you. I don't believe there will be an exodus like last season. The fact Reggie Todd is staying when he could easily be a grad transfer says a lot. I personally believe (The HC we don’t speak of) has gotten many key players to buy in to next season. I do believe there will be some backup players that transfer.

Hate to hear about Parker. I was impressed by him and wanted him to get a shot to show what he could do on the field. However, he apparently wasn't competing in practice.

Neal Brown was as players first as they come; y’all are hilarious Wrong!! Neal Brown instilled discipline and got his players to buy into the culture. Players coach refers to EASY and lax and let players do whatever they want...ie LB at the end. We loved Coach Rhodes and he got the best of his players but he was not a "Players Coach". We didn't want to stay on the 4th floor of Slumni, 11 PM curfew, 3 a days etc but we bought into the dicipline because we saw the results it produced. If you think Neal Brown was lax you are hilarious

CNB was respected and loved by his players, he was a “players coach” Same with Saban, tough, discipline and truthful to the players. And they love him for it. A “players coach” IMO, a program either has discipline and a positive hard working culture or not.

A “players coach” IMO, a program either has discipline and a positive hard working culture or not. A Player's Coach term is refering to a coach that is lax in discipline. Yes, NB was loved by his players, as is Saban and Dabo. Difference is they love him because they see the results of the culture and discipline and that it makes a difference in them. Dennis Erickson was loved by his players as was Barry Switzer. They loved them because they had zero rules..other than show up for the game. My HS coach was brutal to play for. Some of our rules...no long hair, no facial hair, no ear rings, shirt must be tucked in at all times in school, no talking (period) at pre game meal or in locker room before the game, no smiling or laughing on game day, no water at practice, no taking your helmet off during practice or game, 40 40 yd sprints after every practice the entire season, no allowing your girl to wear your letter jacket, curfew etc. We hated his rules when we played but now that we are grown men we love and adore that man because we realize that discipline molded us into champions and men of character. He was inducted into the FL HS HOF ten years ago and over 100 former players attended the ceremony in Daytona (2 traveled from Europe). Was Richard Kennedy a "Player's Coach"? 100% NO. Was he loved by his players? Yes

I think it’s pretty clear that our previous head coach and the current head coach have two different philosophies as to how players are treated, just look at how NB had them dress most of the time verses what CL requires! I think this is just one of the many differences between a players coach and one that instills discipline in a program!

So Sting is not exactly accurate? Plus this past year was the year of THE COVID. We know tucked in shirts or polo’s with a khaki are super spreading apparel.

See how Alabama and Clemson dress for pre game. It's the little things that help make the big things. Does it necessarily help you win? No. Does it make pride and discipline that can help you win? Yes. Would you go to a job interview in sweat pants and T shirt? How about work? That's the point. I am very thankful now as an adult that I had a HS coach that made us dress in Polo and Slacks on game day and a college coach that required shirt and tie. You can disagree, I will always believe it makes a difference
