There is ZERO intensity on the sideline, not from the players or the coaches. We may come out in the second half reenergized, but unless Sherrill Busby, who once blocked 4 kicks in one game, gives the half time speech, I don’t see it happening. There appears to be zero leadership in our football program at this time. We’re down only 7 and you’d think we were down 40 with 20 seconds to go. The guys are playing hard but the sideline is dead. It’s disgusting.

I went to the game today and I’m convinced I watched two of the worst teams in college football play. I couldn’t decide who I felt the worst for; Troy with their staff or MT with theirs. I found myself hoping false positive COVID testing would end the rest of the season. All in all, I agree; Troy’s staff is just mailing it in and our team shows it

I've spoken to (The HC we don’t speak of) (The HC we don’t speak of) twice at Trojan Tour events. He seems like a nice guy, but I don't know him. I, therefore, have neither been an apologist or a detractor of him as our coach. I have been a proponent, and a vocal one, of giving him a chance, letting him get his plan in place, and letting him prove what he could do. I'm now ready to say It's time to move on. I hate to call for anyone's firing, after all he has a family to provide for. That said, he has been paid, by various entities, somewhere in the neighborhood of $1.3 million over the past 2 years and, if he's been wise with it, his family is well taken care of for a while. We will lose to App, Coastal, and the team that shall not be named, and the only reason we MIGHT not lose to ULM is that it will be an irrelevant game that will have no impact on conference standings and may not be played. Unless our AD insists that the game be played so that he can keep his promise to us, the fans, to field 6 home games (which, by the wa,y would be an honorable thing to do and is something he is to be commended for) we don't even play ULM.
A change is needed. we won't likely catch lightning in a bottle like we did with CNB, but dang, we don't have to be the laughing stock of college football.

That's what happens when you hire a name and not a coach.

Ho has said before. He checks a lot of boxes. His 2019 defense finish top 25. He is probably a players coach that doesn't tolerate foolishness. Recruits would be throwing commitments at TMTDM daily. Legacy. Might hang around for 20 years.

Here’s to the school we love We are Trojans, one and all. We will always cheer for victory and you’ll “never let us fall”. it’s time for the administration to step up and “never let us fall”

Troy is leveraged to the hilt and they are not going to buy out CL. Truth be told I don't think this administration is even concerned about the football program. Dear Leader is worried about us being the #1 satellite campus in Asian Communist countries

Dear Leader is worried about us being the #1 satellite campus in Asian Communist countries Without football, the Troy campus would have been closed long ago and the admin moved to Dothan. As for china money, it's a dangerous game. You take their money and they slowly turn you. Hence the knockoff statues all around campus that promote the chinese way of stealing IP and creating fakes.

Raise ticket prices to fund it. $5 bucks or $10 bucks. Winning will bring back those fans we lose initially.

I maybe being fooled but I drive into Troy and I see multiple new things due to University being a here. It is right to assume that without football Troy may well have left as its main campus stands today a bright future for the community. This year with covid has been awful and disjointed. (The HC we don’t speak of) may have actually helped Gunnar last nite. - Cornhole and I agree with him. I am not sure what will happen but we were spoiled in the past and also lives thru the final LONG years of HCLB and this is a moment in time. The conference is better and shelve will not be devoid of talent. I am simply thankful that there even is football and a realistic chance that our nation will regain some semblance of normal by this summer as long as politics doesnât drown us first. There are problems and if Brent is still around next year I see either a marked improvement this way or another way.
I know there was a hint of player discontent etc but losing when you should not and lackluster performance certainly enhances ones CHARACTER good or bad. Players coaches and fans are all subject. I think most are upset by how (The HC we don’t speak of) was chosen and his way has not been too successful so far to say the least. However, in this bizarre 2020 I am not going to pitchfork anyone yet (although I would like to do so). If inclined pray for the scourge to end and the woke to be eliminated for the excesses it has brought to common civil discord. Then we can settle down to what matters to us who scream yell and cheer for the guys who are giving their all. This list is not inclusive of all but Kaylon and Carlton and BJ and Dylan just to name a few thank u. We have not given up on you guys at all

Oh and PS....I am not sure how many of you get “A view from the Birds nest” by one of our fans but I have a suggestion for this weeks: “Sometimes the fledging bird falls out of the nest and croaks.” That kind of sums up last nite.

There is ZERO intensity on the sideline, not from the players or the coaches. The guys are playing hard but the sideline is dead. It’s disgusting. As I have already mentioned to Bubba on Twitter, I saw the exact same thing on the sideline, EXCEPT for about two plays when I actually saw some players getting excited on the sideline. That brief change in attitude made me wonder IF the players realized that someone(s) that normally do not accept that team type behavior were missing from the sideline!?! Before my tweet (that was posted as a way of letting the players know we supported that behavior) could even travel from my phone to the Twitter website that enthusiasm was gone never to return. I NEED / WANT the players to know we support them and want them to weather this storm with the diehard Trojan fans. I, like many, already envision some of this talent packing their bags IF something does not change in the next month. I personally was not impressed with the coaches presented to us in January & February, 2019, but have done my best to keep my opinion to myself. I am an educator in a profession that requires three years before being awarded tenure. Unspoken professional courtesy to individuals that show early on that they are not the right fit is to end the relationship near the end of year two. IT IS TIME to say goodbye to some coaches before we lose current players, potential players, donors, fans, etc.

Seeing this thread with Bubba and Mr E 205 echoing what most of are feeling today let’s me know we are all pretty much in agreement. I have a lot of respect on a personal level for both of these men and they are two of the most positive people on the planet. We are all frustrated and hoping to see signs of life from the staff. I honestly don’t know what to expect in the coming weeks, but I will be there to support the Trojans. Here’s to hoping for some positive outcomes in the remaining games.

I think what upsets me the most is the culture change... Discipline is lacking, it seems like we don’t expect to win anymore, we have lost our swagger that we had when HCNB was here. Also, it looks like the players aren’t having fun anymore and most of all I miss being TMTDM.
Change is needed, wanted and expected.

The players on the sideline had some excitement after the half. We got MTSU into 3rd Down, they converted and it never came back.
I hope we win out. And after we do, we make drastic changes. This is not going to get better. Just my opinion

I started this thread at the end of the first half. I too saw some energy on the sideline for about the first 2 minutes of the second half only to see it evaporate. I also pointed out that the on the field play was intense...I'm sure Gunnar played in pain, we hustled, heck, we even made FGs and PATs. That said, I saw NO, NONE, NADA urgency or intensity from the coaching staff on the sideline and that carried over to the young men standing there. I spent many years sitting behind the defensive bench in the early years of the transition, and while I don't think it's necessary that a coach scream profanities non stop at a volume they could hear down on 3 Notch, one has to admit Bolt had intensity, if noting else, and it carried over to his players. There's NOTHING like that going on now. I'll continue to support the school and the program, at least for the foreseeable future, I'll continue to support the players. That said, change is needed and I'm not sure the current staff can, or is willing to, bring it about.

This morning we have clear skies with the air temp at 57 degrees and the water temp around 70 degrees. We have neap tide today with low tide at 11:24 am and high tide at 8:26 pm. The wind is offshore at 9 mph out of the N. The surf is pretty flat this morning, just some ankle snappers breaking right onshore. There is some surf forecasted to come in the next couple of days.
