This is still on (The HC we don’t speak of) whether he coached in this game or not, he still coached this game.
His team, his culture, his staff. Period.

The shortest tenure for the palladium at troy. We will never see it again and the belt will be gone in a couple of weeks.

Just like the original we have been attacked from within ! Today MTSU came in on a Trojan Horse! How can we beat a team 47-14and then lose while defending the wall ! Ridiculous! Can’t wait for the Ap and Coastal games

The sidelines look in-disciplined ! Play calling is awful. Run the ball. Defense is Swiss Cheese but the Sound of the South is Awesome! Except the SOTS has basically been taken out of the environment by all the in-game music Were they there? I didn’t see their uniforms or shiny helmets.

Someone remind me about how the records of the teams we beat don't matter.

Didn’t watch or listen to this game... I see that I didn’t miss much.
There’s always next year... again.

Way too talented to be this bad.
Lack of discipline and fundamentals

Why do we try to return the kickoff? Grasping for desperation straws. Nobody coached him up???

Our most impressive win is against a 3-6 Arkansas St team ! Look at the time of possession ! Keep in mind we were defending the wall ! Keep in mind ESPN had us as 89% favorites. 2 reasons for this loss Coaching and Discipline.

I'm still trying to understand why we played today with all the people out but couldn't play last week? Was it because it was nonconference and it didn't mean anything? That was the feeling I got. The game didn't matter. Maybe we should play for the palladium each year so the players understand the history. Troy used to dominate at home. This year we will he lucky to get 2 wins at home. Its a tough time to be a trojan.

Wow. Throw into triple coverage. We have no effective QBs based on what I’ve seen. Time to try QB3 and QB4!!!

A fellow Trojan fan brought up a point to me today. To paraphrase: this is going to be the new normal for Troy. Because we won't get another Blakeney that stays for a substantial period of time. We're either going to get a red hot coach that gets scooped up by a team from one of the Power 5 conferences or we're going to get a bust that rides out their contract or gets fired.

I will say it again. This staff has not won a game due their coaching since they arrived. However, they have lost several very winnable games.

I donât think that we have beaten a team with a winning record since (The HC we don’t speak of) took over! We were embarrassed last year by Missouri and this year by BYU. I believe we have the talent but they wonât stay if we donât win nor will new talent come if we donât win! (The HC we don’t speak of) is already looking at his 3rd year as the year to prove himself! I am tired of what (The HC we don’t speak of) has brought to Troy and even if he does turn it around next year he will be gone and we went through 2 awful years to get 1! I trust in our AD and in Dr Hawkins to get us back on track but I think the high buyout set by our previous AD is a major obstacle!

What people are failing to realize is, the currentr state of the football program was all set in motion when John Hartwell left Troy. He was the only one who could stand toe-to-toe with the administration, and in particular Bookout, when it came to who John was going to hire, and what his budget would be. When John left, and Jeremy came in, Jeremy quickly learned he was in the AD position as a figurehead for the Administration. He had almost no say in the hiring of (The HC we don’t speak of), and that is why he left back to USM. (The HC we don’t speak of)'s hiring was a bottom line dollar decision. Once (The HC we don’t speak of) was hired, Jeremy was visibly detached from everything going on in the athletic department and was simply going through the motions. Had he been given the reins of the Athletic Department, I think Jeremy could have done a good job. The very first indication (The HC we don’t speak of) was not going to be a good coach was when in the first week, he was described as a "Player's Coach". That was enough to tell you he was not going to have any discipline like Neal instilled. So, it was inevitable that what is happening now would be the result. And it's going to take a long time to get back to where we were with Neal, if ever.

Valid points but teams like App St and until recently Ark St managed to move on and not miss a beat. It's the intangibles you look for and not just coordinator beside his name

We have the finest dining hall, student fitness center, graduation facility, satelite campusses in Asian communist countries, Confuscious Institute and Tarracota Warriors in the conference. Who cares if football sucks

We're either going to get a red hot coach that gets scooped up by a team from one of the Power 5 conferences or we're going to get a bust that rides out their contract or gets fired. The underlined statement above was the expectations of everyone on this website, my circle of Friends, and my Family during the CNB years while we were enjoying the time we had together! We knew it would end one day and we would find our next up and coming coach with a great personality and an overall plan for the program! THEN January, 2019 was dumped on us. We attended an event to introduce the new head coach and when he took the microphone to introduce us to his staff we just turned and looked at each other. Every introduction included some form of the statement, "I had promised him if I ever became a head coach ...".
