2003–2004 GA College 1 2005 QB Coach College 2 2006–2008 TE Coach College 3 2009–2010 OC / QB Coach College 4 2011 Analyst College 5 2012 AHC / QB Coach College 6 2013–2016 WR Coach College 7 2017 OC College 8 In 2018, given the opportunity you would not hired this coach at Troy. Kent St did and he went 7-6 year two and a bowl win and 3-0 this year with one of the top offenses in the country. And he did it with lousy facilities and the worst stadium in the MAC. Like I said. Some coaches have the IT factor and some don't. Troy said Levi was the 3rd best qb on the team. Given a shot he proved he was not only #1 but one of the best to play for Troy. Some guys are game players, some coaches are Head Coaches. You never know till you give them a shot. And our choice was 110% the wrong one. Evidently the Kent AD saw something or figured they had nothing to lose. But hey, at least we don't have the Akron AD who evidently thought a guy who coached 3 years of D3 and went 4-8 and 5-7 in FCS was a FBS coach. They are 0-15 under that choice so at least we aren't them Kent State did not hire this coach. This is not the Kent St coach.

So we went with a OC who never stayed at a school past "ONE" season and expected him to build and maintain a program. He didn't even know how to prepare for season TWO at a school 2003–2004 GA College 1 2005 QB Coach College 2 2006–2008 TE Coach College 3 2009–2010 OC / QB Coach College 4 2011 Analyst College 5 2012 AHC / QB Coach College 6 2013–2016 WR Coach College 7 2017 OC College 8 In 2018, given the opportunity you would not hired this coach at Troy. That is a trick question because I don't know who it is, never saw him coach by just these stats so I couldn't say whether Troy hires him or not.

Lets see you have a coach that turned Troy around. Instilled discipline, had us going in the right direction. Got an offer at a larger school no big deal. So would you have a guy that learned on the guy that turned it around staff or some guy that’s staff hoped for various reasons under multiple coaches. And if you think you can’t promote from within and be successful you might want to look at pictures of the staffs that were around 1979 to 1980. And again at the staff under HC Gailey. Nah it could never work hiring from within. A little hint both of these coaches have championship rings. Maddox broke that streak....

Nah it could never work hiring from within. A little hint both of these coaches have championship rings. Maddox broke that streak.... Yes, played under him. Biggest problem 1988-89 was we no longer had Mike Turk to run the wishbone offense. We had no qb's with his speed or passing ability. We also loss 3 OL starters including all conference center and his back up, all conference TE and his back up. Defensively we were pretty good, we just couldn't score like we did in 1987. We lost games 17-14. Other than..ugghh getting smashed by a very, very good Jax St team in 1988 we were losing games by just a few points. Same with 1989. 1990 they scrapped the wishbone for a pro-style offense and had to recruit heavily juco OL etc to run it. LB went 5-6 I believe with basically the same team in 1991 his first year. Losing Coach Jeff McInnerney when Coach Rhodes left after the 1987 was a HUGE and I mean HUGE blow because that man recruited a huge portion of the 1987 team and every player from FL including Titus Dixon, Greg Harris, Garrick Pimienta, Darryl Blow, Gerald Travis etc. Recruiting really fell off from 1987 on

Trying to see how you are trying to connect one dot to another. But using your PJ Fleck example, Fleck had a way worst resume than CL. Yet you say that was a good hire, after the fact. Hmmm. But you totally missed my point about the coaching resume I posted. But you kinda proved by posting PJ Flecks resume. That resume was Billy Napier when ULL hired him. Keep thinking about, I await your ah-ha moment.

It IS a trick question because when this person was hired by his current team to be their head coach, Troy had a Head Coach, Neal Brown! Our world did not fall apart until three weeks AFTER this person became a head coach. So the answer to the question is NO, I personally would have not been interested in him at Troy because we HAD a coach at that moment in time 😜

CL is hovering around the .500 mark. Correct, not a winner. But JS, what has he won as a Head Coach or even a coordinator? Ok, maybe he won in some sort of tackling metric as a Linebacker Coach.

Ah, granted cornhole didn't consider that. Often times the exact metric is no predictor of future results? I trust, dear Saint that you've read that a time or two?? Gut matters.

If Rodney King were still around he would ask: “Can’t we all just get along” You just never know for sure. Hey the folks at Clemson did not want Dabo Sweeney and it turned out really well for them. So maybe CL will wind up being a Dabo in the making! I think that is it. Our present coach could easily become a Dabo of something. But I usually wash that off of my car.

Heâs won the respect of the players!!!! Thatâs 75% of the battle. Probably so. Definitely a factor that he was part of NBâs staff. I would say your 75% is high. The âwhat ifâ game is always fun. We are know coaches that are respected by the players and have a record of 2-10. (The HC we don’t speak of), I would say is respected. The team is still a TEAM. He has got to win to stay. Regardless, we all know (The HC we don’t speak of) is getting a third year. And he is the coach we have. So letâs all relax l, have a fun and pour a whiskey to dear ole Troy.

I recall your comments about the Defenders of CLB and the Minions. The current HC has earned What?? from the Troy Nation??

We over-exagerate the past, Over-estimate the future, And totally neglect today.
You massage board clowns need to live in present, not fantisize about what if and might have been. TMTDM is 4-3. Need two wins to play Ohio on Christmas Day in Montgomery. Ho for one think that a win considering everything else.
