Were in this for the long haul guys and gals. The AD is sleeping in the bed they made. I am sure they blame the virus but its not just the virus affecting their pocketbook. The Trojan Warrior program regressed also. It went from a fine experience to a monthly email basically stating "Hey send us some money this year". When you have a rock star Director of Development - Trojan Warrior Fund and you promote him it should be ensured that that fine experience continues. We have regressed across the board, not just with the football staff. I actually took one of the fundraising calls just as my wife and I were told to telework. I was honest and said that I wasn't comfortable donating when times are so uncertain. Now, the contract I support has changed hands. I have received a layoff notice from my company while awaiting an offer letter from my new company. 2020 is just not the year at least for me to be charitable. Now 2021.... I might pursue a second Master's degree through Troy Online. Gosh, sorry to hear of the rocky employment situation. I know it's unsettling but in my <70 year life things seemed to work out for the better. Best wishes. Nothing is 20/20 in 2020.

I know (The HC we don’t speak of) will be the head coach when we play the Red Welps of Jonesboro. I am actually thankful for that. We could have Lane Kiffin and his getting fines 25,000 by the SEC or his hiring coeds to recruit players while at Tennessee or have the Joey Freshwater handle for trolling for coeds or maybe even Dabbling into things like coach Sabans daughter. Or (The HC we don’t speak of) could be like Ed Orgeron who is taking semi selfieâs with girls half his age. Nope none of that just give me plain oh (The HC we don’t speak of) to get us thru the next couple of years. See there are things that we can all be happy about with coach (The HC we don’t speak of).

Why settle for just plain old Chips when we could have Ruffles with Ridges, Salt & Vinegar, Honey BBQ or other WINNING combinations???

There is a lot to comment on here, but I'm not going down that rabbit hole. I will say one thing....I really miss this guy!Surf Report:This morning we have partly cloudy skies with the air temp at 75 degrees and the water temp around 77 degrees. We have neap tide today with high tide at 7:33 am and low tide at 2:08 pm. The wind is cross shore at 9 mph out of the E. The surf is small, shin-knee high lines breaking right onshore, and is forecasted to build significantly today into tomorrow.

He did the groundwork. I think the only hire that didn't really pan out was Phil Cunningham.

AD Hartwell did the dirty work no one else was willing to do. And it has paid dividends.
Weren't we LAST in the "Belt's annual Bubas (sp?) ranking before Hartwell??

If you don't think an FCS coach can be a HC you might want to look at Coastal Carolina right now and these guys LOVE their coach. It took him a year or so but they have evidently bought in to him

So really, none of you would take Gus Malzahn as HC? I know he's considered "another Barner", but he's not a bad coach.
Took Auburn to the national championship, won two SEC West titles, never has had a losing record.
He would recruit extremely well.
He also has Sun Belt experience, took Arkansas State to a 10-3 record, whooping Memphis and beating #24 Kent State in a bowl game.
He was one of the most highly sought after coaches a few years ago.

Now take that short clip and put it up next to a (The HC we don’t speak of) (Troy) "Well maybe we will get em next week" video.
Look, I still think Sumrall was the right hire but, I am just calling a spade a spade. Just looking to talk a little ball because shades of TMTDM then, then shades of Jeremy Rowell, then shades of Neal, then shades of 2014 Kenny Edenfield all in one game is not worth discussing and is for the birds. Not to even mention how far the athletic department and their donor involvement has slipped.

Unfortunately the Athletic Department and its leadership has slipped a lot. A lot. 100% agree. As people have stated that (The HC we don’t speak of) was a âletâs just get something doneâ hire by an out the door administration, so was the hire Athletic Dictator Jones, probably lazier. Regardless, I will keep supporting the young men and women on the fields of play and the coaches as long as they keep fighting and keep the team a team. But ya got to win.

[/quote] That's the best description of last week's game I've seen so far... well done! 😁
