Iâve been hard on (The HC we don’t speak of) and his staff choices. He made (or was made to make) a good move in the off season replacing the strength and conditioning coach. I personally thought more heads shouldâve rolled off of last seasons effort but anything is better than nothing. A visible edge is emerging with this team. A swagger even. A belief in each other. I see a difference and I am encouraged. At 7-8 (corrected) the ship has turned it appears. Coming back after a loss and playing with fire in the gut is a sign of a winning program.
I see the difference!
GREAT JOB COACH (The HC we don’t speak of) (The HC we don’t speak of), ALL COACHES, AND ALL PLAYERS!
Iâm not 100% convinced (Iâm getting closer!) but I am 100% TROY TROJAN! I will still express my concerns along with my praises and some on this board can call me an âidiotâ if they must. You donât bother me with such insults because my TROJAN blood is just as thick and true as any other. I want whatâs best for every part of the TROJAN EMPIRE!

Hey man, I'm happy you have faith in the staff. I would never call you an idiot for having this opinion. I like some things I see with the team, but I still think we are broken. There is a lot of football left this season and we just had a convincing win against a conference opponent. I say Cheers to all Trojans!

I think we are an improved ball club, and I'll echo that I think this has a lot to do with Rusty Whitt. Number of players and experience in the secondary, as well as staying relatively healthy, has been a plus as well. The true test will come when 1) we play the next four games after EKU, which are all toss up games. Can we win these games against teams like Georgia State, Coastal, and Arkansas State, and 2) how does this team play in big games like Louisiana (not on our schedule this year) and App. One big gripe I have is that we look like South Alabama against the big boys. Missouri, Louisiana, and App were not 35-45 points better than us. We laid a huge egg versus BYU this year in similar fashion. Larry Blakeney started the Anywhere, Anytime tradition of giant killers at Troy, and Neal Brown extended that tradition. (The HC we don’t speak of)'s staff either doesn't seem to put as much stock into making an impression on a national stage, much like Blake Anderson at Arkansas State, or they simply do not do a good job of convincing the team that they can hang with the big boys. Khalil McClain's statement about being more prepared and more juiced this week because it was a conference game makes me feel like all games are not equal.

Nah, BYU just beat the crap out of us. This Trojan program is not where the CNB program was when we laid big egg at Liberty. Maybe a year from now??

Can't figure out how everyone is saying ship is being righted and the coach is now 7-7. Trojans were 5-7 last year and 2-1 so far this year. Math in southeast Alabama in the 70s might have been deficient but it think those stats still add up to 7-8. Or am I missing something?

Maybe some wishful thinking for the week ahead and getting to 8-8.

Fixed it but the sentiment remains TROY looked like a different team yesterday. And against MTSU the 1st game. I’m encouraged is the point.

We have beat a zero win team and a 1-3 team and got dominated by a good team. No way possible to know where we are yet. Playing App, Coastal and even Georgia St will tell

We beat someone we were supposed to beat so that's a positive. But there's a long schedule left to play and we'll see how things shake out.

I may not be Linus but I have hope.....more along the line of Charlie himself thinking "this time Lucy will hold the ball"
