Hate to say it, but all the chips, 12 Fall games worth, will fall.
i think the next move Universities will make is to slim down athletic budgets, hence personnel. Division II and III may eliminate athletic budgets altogether. Just thinking out of the box here tonight.
Say it ain't so.

You think NC State is actually scared of Troy? This should be the one game they're looking forward to!
They are not actually a dominant P5 program and while I don’t think they would be scared they have little to gain about a road game against what more than likely would have been a 2-0 fired up team in our stadium. While not scared they certainly are not disappointed that they get to skip that game even while kind of looking forward to it as opposed to others they were to Play.
Seems like the ACC decision is more about keeping Notre Dame happy. I get it, but it stinks. Expect SEC to follow suit, so we will loose the Tennessee game too. SBC schedule, here we come!
The SEC is moving closer to an agreement on a conference-only schedule of 10 games, multiple sources told Sports Illustrated. During a virtual meeting on Wednesday, a majority of athletic directors approved the idea of an SEC-only, 10-game schedule. However, the schedule must be ratified by league presidents. SEC presidents are expected to meet virtually Thursday to seriously discuss the matter. It is unclear if they will vote then or delay a decision until next week. The NCAA Board of Governors is scheduled to meet Tuesday in what could be a momentous event for the 2020–21 college athletic season. Officials there could postpone or cancel fall championships, eliminating year-ending championships for sports such as FCS football, volleyball and soccer, or moving those to the spring.

Based on what has already happened around the country regarding schedules AND based on what I am seeing here at work with the virus, I am not at all optimistic that we will see college football with fans in the seats this fall. Who knows, all it will take is for 1 P5 conference to pull the plug on the schedule for it to all fall apart. It’s 2 days from August and we still are seeing new daily highs for virus hospital admissions in the southeast. I so hope I’m wrong, but I’m not optimistic.

I'm surprised we haven't heard an announcement from Troy Athletics with some sort of an update since the NC State game pretty much won't be played at this point. I felt like there was a quick update from Troy when Arkansas-Pine Bluff had their season cancelled.
RESPONSE from Underdog Dynasty, "Well now we'll figure out what the Sun Belt & C-USA will do because a lot of money has officially been lost in 2020."
ADDITION: Just a quick look at the impact on our conference, Sun Belt just loss a little over $11 million in guaranteed game payouts! A BIG OUCH for ULM (who desperately needs the money), $3.2 million GONE (over 20% of their total athletic budget).
