Yep back to Chipola where they have 3 National Championships since 2007 and the last two were in 17 and 18. With multiple other Region 8 Championships. So doing a year where kids are in and out per 1-2 years makes sense. If they get to play they should have a good time. He and coach Johnson both applied for the Troy job when it came open those years ago. Johnson lost out to Coach Pierce and stayed at Chipola and the field is named after him. Should be a good year as long as we all get to play

Umpire moves 6' behind catcher, can't call 'em any worse than now. Take showers at home. Just schedule Sunbelt teams, keep our wuhanivurus within the 'Belt. Tailgate out in left field with Hemi & Fans, at least 70% alcohol content there.

College Of Central Florida here just disbanded it's men's basketball team (former Nat Champions), Women's basketball team and volleyball. They kept baseball and softball only.

I can see much of varsity level college athletics going away over the next few years. As college becomes more of a commodity instead of an experience, the justification for competitive athletics that are "non revenue sports" will be eliminated. These sports, which are enjoyed by students but with no significant ticket buying fan base, will likely become "club sports" and only minimally funded by the college. While Troy was a pioneer in distance learning and used the revenue to support the main site, as technology improves and this becomes more prevalent at many more colleges, the need for large in-person campuses and large athletic venues will seem less important and financially unfeasible.
