Personally, I would rank Troy vs S Miss and Troy vs C Michigan #1 and #2, respectively. Both games are rewatchable with dramatic endings.

It wasn't pretty for us with Glusman's fit, but I see your point. Thomas also did a good job of balancing things out. I think his poll turned out pretty well.

The only Troy bowl game I've been to was 2010 GMAC Bowl. It was a loss, but still the single most exciting Troy game I've seen in person - absolutely frigid, packed stands of loud Troy fans (better than any game at home) and an exciting, heartbreaking finish.

I too was at that game and for the reasons you listed, I rank it as #1, even though we lost. I also went to the 2020 NO Bowl vs Ohio. That game was fun too, but in a different way. It was a dominate blow out by TROY from the beginning. The whole bowl experience provided by Mobile, though, was amazing.

I've been blessed to have had the opportunity to be at all of them, but the 1st one will always be the best to me simply because it was Troy's 1st D1 Bowl Game.

I have been to all the bowl games and here are my picks:
2006 – NO Bowl. Not our first bowl game under Blakeney but the one that was part of the start to where we are today (I know this season was off but I do believe we are still a respected program.) After the win over Rice as we were walking back to our hotels – you would hear “T-R” and other fans would chime in with “O-J”. As a hometown Trojan I pride myself on knowing lots of Troy fans. I saw a lot of people I didn’t know that weekend and realized that the Trojan Nation was bigger and stronger than I knew.
2016 – Dollar General Bowl - Neal Brown “Troy’s Back!” Most of my family was at that Game and it was a whole bunch of fun.
2017 – NO Bowl - What a season!!! That trip was just one of those “it’s all good” times. And yelling “We just beat LSU” in Pat O’Brien’s was a personal moment. The Sound of the South had a momentous half-time show. Watching players, band members and other students graduate there was really special too.
2008 – NO Bowl – although we didn’t win this one, the Trojan Walk through the hotel will be one of “those” moment. The lobby was completely full and really loud. I looked around and grown men had tears in their eyes. The Trojan Nation just kept growing.
2018 – Dollar General Bowl – We were becoming very spoiled with our post-season appearances. Family always plays a part in my trips and this one was special – we didn’t leave until after my niece had graduated and gotten engaged that Friday!
2010 – NO Bowl – Larry and the Trojans’ got their second bowl game win.
2009 – GMAC Bowl – Hell froze over and we lost.
2004 – Silicon Valley Bowl – it was the first Bowl Game and a wonderful trip but the stadium was a hole, the lights went out, it rained the whole game and we lost.

My favorite is the Silicon Valley Bowl for a couple reasons:
1) Like others have said it was the first. There is no duplicating that.
2) On a personal note, our family, wife and 2 kids, went to San Jose the week prior to the game. There were not many people there. We walked into the players hotel and maybe 20-25 parents and fans were there to greet the players. One of the players, (it kills me I don't know his name), grabbed my 13 year old son and said, "Come on you are with me." My son went with the team to eat their team meal. He stayed with them for the next 20-30 minutes. He spent the next few weeks talking about that one single act. BTW, the coaches kicked him out of the room when the team meeting began, as they should have. As a parent, that is the memory I will always have of the SVB.

That first one in San Jose was miserable for all the reasons above. Nice west coast trip and the last I made with my ex wife......so can we rank it 143rd? I know we have only been to a few less than that but I think you get the idea...….

Silicon Valley Bowl is the only bowl I didn't go to. I had just graduated from Troy and didn't have a job yet, so I couldn't afford to haul my cookies all the way across the country.

My favorites are when we go to the big city. It was so fun seeing people in Troy gear around town in San Francisco. I love New Orleans and a Troy bowl game is always a good reason to visit. I'd like to see Troy play in LA or say Boston. Paris would be good. It's always good to mix a vacation and Troy football.
