Great 3 days in Troy. What if our Trojans had played like this the last 3 weeks. However, let's finish Troy Strong!

Just not sure that the average Trojan Fan understands what the Troy D accomplished in our defeat of the GATA Eagles yesterday:
Key Stat: After averaging 336.8 yards rushing over the past four games, the Eagles struggled to get the ground game going against the Trojans, rushing for 152 yards (Total) while giving up nine sacks. On the other side of the ball, Troy put up 603 yards of total offense against the Eagle defense.
Troy held the Eagle O to 152 yards rushing, including holding their QB Shai Wertz to a net 22 yards rushing on 22 attempts and 9 sacks. Wertz had suffered 9 sacks TOTAL this season leading up to yesterday's game. Wertz averaged 78 YPG (excluding LSU game) season to date.
Yep, we gave up a couple TD's on busted/broken coverage but we obviously planned/schemed and moved the pieces around (Smiley, Webb) to prepare for what GATA threw at our defense. Great adjustments and planning from top to bottom of the program!!
Progress! Credit where credit is due!
GO TROJANS!

Holding them to 152 rushing yards is a pretty awesome stat. Congrats Men of Troy. Hoping to end the season with positive momentum and a bowl victory.

Holding them to 152 rushing yards is a pretty awesome stat. Congrats Men of Troy. Hoping to end the season with positive momentum and a bowl victory. When it comes to Louisiana and Appalachian State, both of them like to run the ball quite a bit more than passing it. The bad thing is, both of them can pass the ball MUCH better than Georgia Southern if they need to.
If we can get back starters BNDT Zo Bridges, DT Antonio Showers, and FS Kyle Nixon, that will help the defense out a bunch.

It is early on the 14th of November. In 15 days our seniors season and careers of playing football May come to an end. That alone gives them a great impetus to Play well. First Tejas State which is doable. Then there is Louisiana who is talking about being ranked when meeting App for the championship. They will be a great challenge. Then last are the goat people. We know that would be tough not only for their strengths but their motivation for bowl posturing. However, I give our guys a fighters chance and wish them well as the motivation to not be eliminated is very strong.

I know it would be great for the conference to have two ranked teams and a representative in a NY6 game but I want to spoil it all!

If my memory serves ... we start only ONE full-time starter back from last season ... Martial. #94 and #10 I believe may have started some? But even if we count them, that's only 3. Several Freshman and/or guys who haven't played a lot of football. So, it's pretty cool to see their progress and improvement!

Yeah, but if they keep getting coached, keep progressing and, horror of horrors, get good, what will we complain about? The cups are good, concessions are improved, attendance is great, uniforms are cool...I guess we can complain about the quality of the t shirts sold at the game.

Anybody check the men's rooms lately?? Surely there's a nit to pick in there?
