No. Just no. A running team scored two easy pass touchdowns on us.

A blind squirrel can find a nut every now and then, we need consistency and he doesn’t supply that. Fire him, that just me saying.

This is unbelievable. We played a team whose primary weapon is the triple option ground attack. I've been going to TROY FB games for 25 years now. We have NEVER and I repeat NEVER had any success stopping, or really even slowing down, a triple option team. We held that team, a really good football team, BTW, to around 200 yds (I haven't see the final stats, but late in the 4th, they had 153 yds rushing). We gave up 2 passing TD's, one I think was a scheme breakdown, the other was a blown assignment (I have no idea who blew it, but we triple covered the deep guy and single covered the intermediate route). The defense SHUT DOWN the best ground attack in the conference and we can't even acknowledge the improvement that was made? We can't even acknowledge, that even with Jarvis Hayes out with injury and AJ Simon forced to start at DE, we SHUT DOWN the option? We can't even acknowledge the improvement that freshmen starters have made? I'm sure glad you guys don't evaluate me. I'd probably get fired because it took 3 minutes of advanced life support protocol to save somebody rather than 2 and I'd sure get fired for breaking the guys ribs while doing CPR.

Think that we gave up 3 passing TD. One was scheme. Think two were blown coverages. But all-in-all thisnwas one of the most disciplined performances in a long time. They lost leverage a few times, but overall - very nice. And the energy level was great to see. Still a bit concerned that kick coverage gives up big plays. We had another fake punt - a la Southern Miss - wish we’d do better in ST. Today, the Trojans played very well. They played as a team. They played disciplined. Overall, very nice win. You are correct, sir - that should be acknowledged - moreso - cheered!!

There was acknowledgment and I gave him credit by stating a blind squirrel can find a nut every now and then, but with that said this DC is inconsistent . By the way AJ did a great job at Bandit not DE and them moving Webb to DE helped also. And thats the way I would play it in the next game. I don’t want to take away anything when it comes to the win but the DC is way over his head. By the way there were towels all over the place but he takes his hat off his head and blows his nose on it and places it back on his head?? That’s just me saying

That’s just me saying I stand corrected as it relates to AJ. I saw a pre-game tweet that said he was starting at DE because Hayes was injured. None of that made much sense since neither of then are DE types, but I assumed the tweet to be correct. My bad.

If BH and the D gets the blame when we lose, then they deserve some of the credit when we win.

I can’t believe there has to be an appreciation thread every time our DC does his job. That shows he’s terrible. How many of these threads did Vic get after a game? Stop giving out the equivalent of a soccer participation trophy when our DC gets lucky.
