And what part was foolish. We recruited D1 players that learned blitz packages under VK and now one year later people are saying blitz packages confuse our players. Lame excuse First, you realize our defense has been gutted by graduation and injuries and a little bit of transferring. Look up the top tacklers and staters and playing time from last year to this year. Second, itâs a whole different scheme, different coaches, the coaches style is different. Damnit man, cut these kids some slack. They are not robots. It takes some time to adjust. VK recruited these kids. We will be bowl eligible by the Texas St. game. Yes I believe we will get better. We lost two very close games to teams that had the same or more talent than us and our kids never stopped fighting. That a plus for the coaching staff. And we dominated teams that we should have dominated. If you think any coaching change is a seemless transition than yes you are foolish. Ask Neal Brown, we will tell you it is not seemless. Yes, (The HC we don’t speak of)âs job is to win. But donât expect filet mignon when all you have currently is ground chuck. I will cheer for victory. You can continue to cheer for loses so you can come on here and post non stop about this and that for the 100th time. 1) I never cheer for a loss 2) I defended the players. Some one posted they can't learn blitz packages. I stated they are D1 players and learned it under VK so no reason they can't now. 3) I feel for our defensive players like I did under Rowell and Bolt 4) if you don't think it's coaching VK took a group far, far worse than this and never gave up 50 points And I'm sure our players are thrilled you think they are ground chuck

First, the whole situation is foolish not the players. Nice try attempting to change the narrative of your previous remarks. Youâre expecting the same from last year. Thatâs naive and foolish. Because everything is different. We even have a new AD putting his on spin on the department. Youâre constant comparison to this situation to the situation under Rowell and Bolt is amateurish and foolish. It presents you as someone who has little knowledge of the current program and situation. Oh in addition we lost our pre-season All Conference running back, but you go ahead and down the program, coaches and players for losing two close games to equal or better teams.

Never ran down any players...you did however. I merely state a fact that our DC is not doing his job and our defensive stats are as bad as Rowell. Players can't perform if they are not coached up. And for the record, I have praised the offense. Scoring 43 and 47 points should win ball games. I also wasn't aware you are "inside" the program. I stated after a poster commented "our players are incapable of learning blitz schemes" that that was a lame excuse as they are D1 athletes and if they can't learn that they couldn't do class work either. That is not being derogatory towards players, that is defending them. We recruited them to play D1 ball and attend college. As far as comparing prior staffs, I'm sure glad VK didn't think his player's weren't smart enough to learn blitz packages. They deserve better

And you make up facts about what people said. You might want to read my comment and the post before that I commented on. And I cheer for Troy every game that is why I don't like it when we should be winning games not giving up 50 points

If you listened to any of the opposing coaches when they had to go up against Vic's defense, they would mention his unorthodox blitz packages. This is why we were able to go up against supposedly better teams like Clemson, LSU and Boise (the first time) and really confound their QBs. It would be difficult to learn complex blitzing schemes if the four or five freshman we have running around out there aren't comfortable in our base package yet. New players, new scheme, new coaches. What a concept.

Tony Franklin came in and put in a offense that was totally opposite of what we ran before and they learned it.

We've played two games against teams that have any semblance of a passing game. 18 different starters. It's going to take some time before this unit is able to work together well. Hopefully we see improvement in the coming weeks. After Missouri, we have five very winnable games, even with our current defense. None of them have near the offensive firepower USM and ASU have. I just want to see improvement and hopefully be 7-3 (or 8-2 if we pull off a huge upset this weekend) going into the two toughest SBC matchups on our schedule.

You think this coaching staff sucks and there no better than high school coaches. Oh by the way, if they succeed and win, the players and program and fans win. I know that’s a conundrum for you....

Our offensive staff is doing better than NB did but we can't win giving up 500 plus yards and 47 and 50 points. If you think our DC is doing his job that is your right, the stats don't lie but I forgot, you said all we have is ground chuck to work with.

AGAIN, do you or can you recognize, comprehend and appreciate the current status of our defensive line-up ? We were gutted. Graduation, injuries, transfers. The kids are playing every play, the effort is present. They are learning a new scheme, new techniques, new calls, new coaching styles, new plays, etc. They are improving. The coaches are also doing the same.
