The talent Rigby is bringing in is absolutely incredible.
Now of we can just get back to the NCAA Tourney and maybe win a regular season SBC title, I think we have a shot at finally beating someone at the Big Dance.

A real heavy juco class and a grad transfer. I'm wondering if this is a hail mary for one great season for her to nab another job? Any thoughts?

I recently wrote in the football forum that CNB had not left the cupboard bare, that he had recruited well, and the he was our coach until he wasn't. We all knew that CNB would not be here for the long term. He is a rising star and his career is on an upward trajectory, still. That said, he wasn't recruiting to have a Hail Mary season, he was recruiting to win. When offered the WVU job, he thought it his best option and took it. That job offer came along, not because of one impressive winning season, but because of his body of work. Likewise, I think CCR is recruiting to win. Unless future events prove otherwise, I think she's our coach until she isn't. If, and when, she is offered a job that would be considered a career advancement, it will be because of her body of work, not because of one Hail Mary season.

She has done a great job at Troy. I just wonder when you bet really heavy on 1-2 years on a signing class. Hope we have a huge season next year with this class.

Some of these JUCO players have offers from some P5 schools, and still chose Troy. Plus we got an Ole Miss transfer. I think she is just good at recruiting JUCO players, and has a knack for making sure she gets the ones that buy in to her culture. I've yet to see a JUCO player she's recruited that hasn't been a great team player.

Kentucky, Duke, etc etc, those head coaches manage a Merry-go-Round year in and year out. It is what it is these days. 4-year players just don't imply winning success.
