Why are we still talking about Rush....man, he might be your pal, but it isnt going to happen. Gerry Faust, Gerry Faust, Gerry Faust, Gerry Faust. Doing really well in High School has ZERO to do with success later. I have seen poor record high school coaches who are there for a few do very well later in college. When you have no support or talent or expectations the outcome with what you work significantly impacts the record. In the HS yo College transition many of the advantages go away due to like talent in all areas to the level u are playing.

I was born in Akron, OH, my dad was born and raised there and all my dad's side still live there. My dad played HS in the old Rubber Bowl. In 1985 I had a offer from Akron and was going to sign with them because of family there and playing where my dad played at in HS. They hired Faust, he told me he only wanted 6"4 plus lineman so my HS coach contacted Troy and I fell in love with it as soon as I set foot on campus. So thank you Gerry Faust...best thing that could have happened

NOW THAT would be a GREAT HIRE! I know, I know there are many on this board that think Rush is scab and isnt worthy of a chance, but DUDE CAN COACH. This would be a GREAT opportunity to give a guy a second chance in the state of Alabama. He has faced his demons head on and has survived in Moultrie, Ga. Top 25 HS in the country and his offenses are incredible. If there was ever a time to get him here and give him a chance, this is it. I would love for it to happen (I have forgiveness and forgetfulness in my heart) it would be a GREAT DAY for Troy University. I hope he has severe ties with (The HC we don’t speak of) and gets a chance! Let him tell his story to the moms and dads that remember. Use the 'don't ask/don't tell' method when on the trail.  He can coach hs,he has to cheat to do that.He is an a** from jax st.He has been trouble everywhere heâs gone.Troy can do so much better than a former gameCock who canât win without cheating.

So it is Gerry's fault....ha ha ha …..only kidding....Just goes to show you how someone's decision has all kinds of effects. (Butterfly) It is hard to convince younger folks that a decision made can impact so much more than yourself.

I like Brandon Hall as DC, he has the same energy level as Sumrall and he was Co-DC at Jax St. Of course, wouldn't mind hiring someone externally if possible (Sumrall). Brandon Hall any day over Wayne Bolt (Please Stay Retired)

Yes I absolutely think you could see one or both of them on (The HC we don’t speak of)âs staff, contingent on who the DC will be. Lesley has a relationship with both, and (The HC we don’t speak of) has a connection to Felton through Rush Propst. Rush as OC. yes

Will be interesting to see if Lesley decides to stay or go to WV. What if we could somehow manage to get Lesley and Sumrall!??🤔

Ok....you have convinced me that you are Rush or you have an unhealthy crush on a high school coach being on our staff. Odd.

Great idea for Rush Propst as OC. Let's take a guy that's never coached a lick of college football at any level, and promote him all the way up to an FBS offensive coordinator. Does anyone here really think that the majority of players are going to respect him as their coach, knowing his past? Just a little over two years ago he was reprimanded by the GHSAA for head butting his own player... you people want this guy as OC??? You think he fits the culture that Neal Brown established??

He does NOT know the college game. It is different. As is the NFL from College.

That might've been cool when Erk Russel was headbutting Ga Southern guys ... but that's just stupid ... childish ... out of control.

Rush Limbaugh would be just as bad I'd only take him if "Big Time" Sean Hannity was the OC.

Since we hired (The HC we don’t speak of) (The HC we don’t speak of) who is a great play caller - agree that Rush is probably not right for the OC position. But if we had hired Sumrall - he is absolutely right.
He is a love or hate him type of guy - but he is one hell of a coach, play caller and WINNER.
I can confirm I am not Rush. I can also confirm I have family ties to Colquitt County and Moultrie, GA. Those people love him and they want a winner. Rush beats Atlanta schools who have more talent and resources consistently.

Last thing I'll say about him (hopefully ... since surely he won't be on our staff!!!!!!) ... I had a coach like that in HS. We won ... but he cussed us, slapped us around, and crap like that. I took it ... cause I didn't know better and figured that was the way it was. (best day of my HS career ... he fractured his wrist hitting me in the head! ) ... But now, when I see grown men cuss, slap, head butt ... Kids (whether HS, Middle School, or small kids ... and I see it) ... I tell them to come over and cuss, slap, head butt another grown up and see what would happen to him!!!! After getting to Troy and playing for Real men ... men of class and character like Coach Gailey and Coach Jeffcoat ... really that whole staff ... I saw what coaching was supposed to be! Anyway ... just my take.
