Well there’s a song about cheap bourbon whiskey and pearl snap shirts. Onto the important topic here. Hugh Freeze is a real possibility in my opinion. Will likely be a very short term. Jim Leavitt and Shayne Beamer were on the short list last time. Here’s my number 1 guy on the list. Good man for sure but isn't he battling a serious health issue or cancer right now? I believe I read that somewhere I feel bad, but who is that? I don't recognize him.

Has anyone heard from the Athletics Department anything about who might be on the shortlist, if CNB goes?

He was the OL and inside run game coach at Troy from 2007-13?? Great OL coach and good man. Battling a serious health issue right now

HC - Schlarman OC - Propst DC - Sumrall W's for days. Would be curious to Propst. 1) Would his giant ego ever allow himself to not be the head man in charge 2) he has never ran his offense against college defenses 3) would his negative issues (especially in AL) hamper in state recruiting 4) see #1

Neal has also been mentioned for UNC. I'm more concerned he is heading back to Lubbock Texas I would be more concerned with Purdue if Brohm leaves.

I'm more concerned he is heading back to Lubbock Texas I would be more concerned with Purdue if Brohm leaves. IMO I really don't see NB leaving this year. 1) The offense sputtered a lot this year that could hurt him 2) we didn't win the conference 3) Schedule is very, very favorabe for greater success next year which could mean bigger opportunities. JMO though

Thanks corn. They are pretty accurate with the coaching salary reporting, been doing it for years. How do we invest the $2.9 million? New coach ? Downpayment on IPF? Practice facility for sure. I'm betting we go the route of UAB and South with the covered fields. They look really nice and serve the purpose needed all the while costing a fraction of an actual building. also according to the intrawebs, today is the day Brohm says yes or no to LVille. Brohm said NO! Staying at Purdue. Next up?

That'll mean they have to land on a smaller school now and I'll bet CNB lands one of those jobs.

Based on the crazy hires that have already taken place this month, I EXPECT Georgia Tech to go after Ken Whisenhunt. He played at Georgia Tech and is at an age where you start thinking about moving closer to your roots!

If GT wants to stick with the triple option, they could look to one of the military schools or maybe even GA Southern who hasn't been horrible. Tech is tough to recruit for though due to achedemic standards. And the option, while fun to watch for a while, might be getting old for the fan base.

Especially after years on the west coast. I smiled at your play on words, “hunt” as in Whisenhunt 😂

Yessir, defending the 3x option, executed with unidimensional players, gets easier as the years have passed. Ga So's past Coach, Willie Fritz at Tulane now, would be my pick for a 3x Option coach, BUT... Your recruiting observation is a myth.. a rationalization for poor recruiting performance by PJ. Tech has many jock academic options now. The Institute needs to man up and decide to compete at DI or not. IMO, and many other Tech Alums, PJ was a "lazy" head coach. cornhole Mother Goose Kindergarten, 1958 Ga Tech BSBMGT, 1974 (If I could do it in 4 years then anyone can!)

Big 12 you need to score 50 to win games. 2) we didn't win the conference and had the loss to Liberty 3) schedule is very, very favorable next year and if we ever had a shot at 12-0 or 11-1 its next year. JMO and who knows in the wacky world of coaching carousels

Everybody worried about CNB leaving but if you spend 5 minutes on the message board of a school that he is supposedly going to, you see quick that the rest of D1 football is not so impressed.

Personally I don't think this is the season he needs to leave unless the money is just too good to turn down. When you look at our schedule next year and the returners we will have if there was ever a season that we possibly could go 12-0 or 11-1 next season is it. If we go 12-0 or 11-1 he's going to have a lot more opportunities than after this season
