When did he get hurt? I watched every play and never saw it. Our Rhythm died after he went out but I will say it was good to see Smith shine (at times). He needed the game experience.

Not sure it really matters when. Let’s just hope his is good for the future. Agree on our rhythm. Barker is next level. Impressive kid.

I think it is fair to say that Kaleb is MORE than a pleasant surprise. Downright impressive. He just has to heal up a tad.

I think the injury is wear and tear. Brown said in the post game interview the team has been going hard since Boise and this break comes at the best time.

If he needs to take the Liberty game off to heal, I'll understand. Hope he's back to full strength by the South game. I'm really impressed with Barker this year. Smith can be good too, so I'm sure he can handle the Liberty game if he needs to. Go Troy!

They may be 2-2 and a newcomer to the FBS, but they destroyed a Conference USA team, and then proceeded to annihilate a good Mountain West team in New Mexico.

Oh, definitely. But if Barker has to miss a game, I'd rather it be an OOC game.
And I really want us to destroy South. lol

The way he was moving around and how docs were talking to him...looked like maybe concussion protocol? Same as Folsom

The way he was moving around and how docs were talking to him...looked like maybe concussion protocol? Same as Folsom I initially thought he had been injured when the GA St player hit him out of bounds. However, after watching the game on replay, that play occurred early in the first qtr and he continued to play. Now about the play referenced above. I've posted a couple of comments here and on social media about the GA St player "diving" into the back of Kaleb's legs out of bounds. The hit was out of bounds - well out of bounds- however the GA St played didn't dive into him. He was off balance and stumbling, bent almost completely at the waist, and fell into Kaleb. It was a good no call. There was no foul committed..

I hope Barker makes a 100% recovery, but I have this feeling that we would be ok with Smith. I think that toward the end of the game, he started finding his rhythm. He came off the bench and maybe wasn't 110% dialed in as he would have been if he were starting. If he starts at Liberty, expect some highlights.

I've heard its an issue with his ACL. Hope its not season ending cause we need his leadership.

Smith I still think is a better pure passer and runs ok but not as good as Barker. We will fine at qb

Per an earlier Tweet by either Jeremy Wise or Stacy Long (too lazy to back and look it up) CNB said they could ask about injuries but that he wouldn't have any information until Monday.

Hypothetical question. IF Kaleb is out, and Sawyer gets injured; who's next man up??

Hypothetical question. IF Kaleb is out, and Sawyer gets injured; who's next man up?? I would assume Gunnar Watson from Taylor County, Ga. Played some in the FAMU game.

Watched the replay of the game and he left after the TD he threw to douglas. Didn't really see anything happen on that entire series. He ran off the field after the td. He did have a sleeve on his knee after he came out of the tent. Saw him jog a little bit...didnt seem serious but who knows

It's plausible he was dinged and, based on how well things were going, the staff decided to pull him and not take a chance. I'd be very surprised to find out it's a torn ACL. I've never seen anyone with that injury jog, walk, and stand without showing some sign of discomfort or instability. I've certainly never seen anyone suffer that injury and come off the field in a routine, end of drive, manner. From the perspective of my recliner, I think he'll be fine.

If it's his ACL, let's hope it's a sprain and not a tear.

If it's his ACL, let's hope it's a sprain and not a tear. It would almost surely have to be. I could see that being the case.
