Hmm 2 years in a row decided not to package it with a baseball series You would think the weekend before would have been great. With baseball hosting the 2016 National Champs. Now it makes those who travel a good distance choose between the two weekends.

My memory is not good ... but seems we suggested they put T-Day, HOF, and Alumni weekend together ... but I'm not sure if they will? I know it would make it easier on us ... of course it would be logistical challenge to do all on one day.

We have to choose between reunion or T-day if you can't attend back to back weekends

I'm not a former player,I have no cant acts in the athletic department, I've talked to no decision makers, I'm just a plain fan. That said, here's a thought.
I'm not a conspiracy theorist and I seriously doubt that the athletic department makes a decision about when to hold these events without considering what will achieve the BEST results. These events are marketing efforts and like all marketing efforts, they cost money. Anytime money is spent, the goal should be to obtain the best return on investment. Perhaps the reality is that by having multiple events over multiple weekends, more people are involved. Maybe some people who can't attend on weekend X can attend on weekend Y. The analysis then must determine if the increased engagement achieved by holding multiple events on multiple weekends provides a return tha exceeds the increased costs of doing so. If it dioes, multiple events on multiple weekends is the answer. If it doesn't, the events need to be combined. I lack the data needed to make that decision, therefore I will leave it to those paid to do so and whose continued employment hinges on their making the right one. I'm confident they are doing what the data suggests is best overall for TROY Athletics.

They give the reason as the Hall of Fame weekend. The problem is is that most former players want to attend the T Day game. We really appreciate the reaching out to former players but we wish to have the players reunions on T Day weekend. If they would do the the former players gathering at the t-day game it would at least double the amount of former players attending

Do we have staff to do all this in one weekend? And maybe they spread out so more people will attend overall.

I just bet that the date dodges other schools events in hopes of getting superior talent (recruits) on campus. The best players vs convenient times for fans and ex-players??..hmmmmmm lets see...... Convenience only applies to recruits....it's a new day.Winning seasons begin with winning the off season.EVERYTHING revolves around getting the best players here......the one's with eligibility left.

Question on Scrimmage Schedule? Has anyone heard what days will be Scrimmage-type practices? I know most will be situational, etc. Gonna try to get down for a long weekend end of March for some baseball and football practices.

I know most will be situational, etc. Gonna try to get down for a long weekend end of March for some baseball and football practices. I believe the new rule is 15 practices total and only a couple can be full pads which I assume would be scrimmage on a Sat. Times sure have changed since we had 5 days a week of full pads and scrimmage on Sat. I love this new rule as all spring was good for back in the day was a few knee surgeries or broken legs not to mention wear and tear on linemen on both sides of the ball
